If not mistaken, win10 cannot disable auto update.

Microsoft will detect it not genuine & will always ask for activated. Unless you don't use it on-line/internet.

If not mistaken had forumer selling license win10 at RM60 only. Only Win7 & below could disable auto update.
Avoid win8 not so stable compare with win7.

dude..the most important aspect of using unlicensed software is you are stealing other people's hardwork. I am not saying that you must use licensed or not but at least know that you are doing something illegal. The choice is up to you.

And BTW you are late by 2 days. The free windows 10 is already closed since 31 july. Else you could install windows 7 and then run the free windows 10 upgrade.

The version corresponds to the existing version of your W7/8. So if yours is a Pro, it would activate as a Pro edition.

For the USB, you basically download a tool that formats your flash drive to be a W10 installer.

I was heard that free upgrade program from microsoft was expired. So if you are still remaining using Windows 7/8.1, you will lost the chance to get genuine Windows 10 license. Since the moment you upgraded to Windows 10, your motherboard already registered to Microsoft as a permanently genuine copy of Windows 10 user. No matter how many times you reformat your Windows 10, or install it into a new SSD/HDD, your Windows 10 will still automatic activated as genuine.

The public free upgrade has expired, but you can use the assistive technologies path to upgrade your windows 7/8/8.1 to windows 10. Search for assistive technologies windows 10 upgrade, download the software and run it.

If you are actually using it, win 8.1 is way more stable than win7.
Having bad UI doesnt automatically makes it inferior on every way.

Just get the original copies of windows.

Don't be a cheapskate if you want something beneficial to you later.

This was written quite some times ago so not sure right now still apply or not.

But then, unlike previous windows, you can still download and install legally windows 10 without the product key. Later when got fund just purchase the key.

Buy Windows 10 Pro for less than RM 120. Get proper license key with sticker some more. Its one time investment than can last most probably longer than your GPU.

Yeah. Basically you can't customized the desktop wallpaper or change color only. Everything else works the same.

My motherboard died few days ago. Since I change motherboard then my old license no linger aplicable (using old win 7 oem license).

So installed new windows 10. Havent activated yet. Use as normal except that watermark thing.

My Dell Precision(Dual Xeon), Alienware 14x, XPS & Macbook Air always got problem with driver in Win8, problem solved with Win7. Now free upgrade with Win10, no problem all running smooth.
Helping friend bought Dell Latitude touch display laptop with win8 license also had problem, upgrade to win10 problem solved(no more hang or auto restart). rclxub.gif

You still got chance. MS allow users who need accessibility features free upgrade to W10 still.

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/accessibili...indows10upgrade

The thing is MS will never know whether you actually need accessibilty feature or not. Personally, I think this is MS way of leaving a loophole to encourage people to upgrade without seemingly back down from their original limited period offer.
