QUOTE(UN1T3D @ Jun 27 2020, 12:03 PM) Basically, i see. thanks a lot for the explanation.1. free 1800 sms (150 added every month) between onexox only. Free sms doesn't expire. 2. Yes, all in season pass + any credit + free sms balance usable all the way, no need to topup even if credit is zero. 3. when validity almost done can buy 1 year validity to add to existing validity (stackable) 1) 150 per month. again something that totally never mention on the web. 2) I am buying a new card and i only buy welcome deal and not season pass. will the welcome deal works the same as season pass that follows account validyt? 3) how much is the 1 year validity? |

QUOTE(ohtheirony @ Jun 27 2020, 01:40 PM) The app in some part is inferior compared to *150# menu that's complicated.Transferring credit and data quota add ons are some of them Using the app I need to unsubscribe from current data plan first, then it only allows me to subscribe to new plan, even though the old data plan still has some validity. If the sim data is in use, the data stream needs to be interrupted Edit: Found the add more data section, so the only lacking is credit transfer Credit or season pass? what is this accounts thingy? ![]() |

QUOTE(ohtheirony @ Jun 28 2020, 08:11 AM) Another features... I see.The account balance is separated into two, dedicated account (DA) and main account (MA) DA offers cheaper rates compared to MA, and any usage outside of season pass will deduct the balance in DA first. in the event of purchasing data or season pass, balance from MA is deducted first, and remainder (if not enough credit in MA) they will deduct DA Basically to encourages people to reload a large amount at once, same as season pass which encourages purchase of data, minutes and sms in bulk But if you still has balance in season pass, the credit is untouched One single prepaid comes with so many ‘systems’. New users: “I am so tough”. 😅😂 |

QUOTE(ohtheirony @ Jun 28 2020, 08:55 AM) Some Telco separates features to several prepaid plan They still have the onexox black plan rite on TOP of the onexox prepaid.Since onexox has only one type of prepaid (nu prepaid is basically the same but targets Indonesian) they cram all the features into this plan You can basically ignore this DA MA thing if you mainly use data sms calls from season pass |

QUOTE(ohtheirony @ Jun 28 2020, 10:04 AM) It's not that complicated lol Haha. At least before I even sign up one. It already seems very complicated. Just like other sim, you need to register at the moment of purchase, therefore delayed mnp is not possible unless you ask the dealer to process the mnp at certain date. But they need to capture your identity card using their app so ensure that the dealer is close to where you live if they need to ask you to come (if you are uncomfortable sending picture of your ID) then no choice maybe just MNP during sign up. besides, after signing up online, they will deliver the SIM card via post rite? Do I need to be physically presence when they deliver the SIM card? Becos I always deliver things to my parents house instead of mine as I am never at home during office hours. Yoodo delivers SIM card to my parents house and they can receive on behalf no issues. |

QUOTE(ohtheirony @ Jun 28 2020, 11:38 AM) Please tell me you haven't made the mnp online yet... If you do it locally no delivery fee and you can freely ask them if something goes wrong. Quite hard doing so by online. I haven’t done anything yet. The number is my main line. Can not afford to risk it. That’s why I try to understand the plan fully before making any action.Xox does not have basic internet and ppu, so no bill shock but the internet will halt as soon as data you activated is zero even though there is data stored unactivated in season pass, therefore if you want to stay connected 24/7/365 the cheapest way is to purchase welcome deal 10gb + 333 mins and activate 500mb every 30 days (resubscribe automatically as long as you don't turn the feature off) God knows when e-sim will be available for prepaid, plus the list of phone is high-tier only Do it locally meaning what? They have physical store that can visit to do the MNP? |

QUOTE(ohtheirony @ Jun 28 2020, 12:18 PM) Oh alright, phew Yeah. Looking at the package other than the long validity, this prepaid does not really have other advantages over the traditional prepaid. one seriously needs to be on super low usage in order for this prepaid to be useful. Although the season passes are designed to save users money actually looking at the package one will end up paying much more he is a 'normal' user that uses about 5GB per month.Onexox dealer is scattered the whole Malaysia, chances are there is a dealer near by your place They need to reach their kpi of 2 subscribers pe month so they are more than happy to have you as their customer For onexox prepaid, I suggest this plan to those who uses very little each month, and monthly commitment is less than 500mb/month and calls below 50 min/month Higher than that, other telcos suit you better If you are a heavy data user, up to 100gb/month, then I suggest black db89 rm89++/month since this plans allow hotspot, but if calls is not important Unifi air is better There is hotlink unlimited plans that costs only rm35 nett monthly that will be much suitable for them. This plan will probably be suitable for people who hardly use the line but want to keep the number without paying too much. Example like people who resides in overseas or not in bolehland most of the time. Or suitable for elder people who purely use the line for calls. I am just planning to switch to this plan to temporarily park my hotlink number here until my unifi contract is over so I can sign up the hotlink broadband and postpaid package that costs rm99 with hotlink postpaid line for extra rm10 but with 10GB data and unlimited calls. Existing hotlink users cannot sign up this plan, that's why need to port out first then port back in to hotlink again to sign this package. |

QUOTE(ohtheirony @ Jun 28 2020, 12:56 PM) Oh I see... If you are planning to temporarily park this number without making calls, Unifi bebas is better because you only need to pay rm10 for the sim and keep the number active by turning data on once in a while nov only will expire. so still got few more months. But if you need the calls then this plan is okay too. If you have any season pass left when you're going to port out, ask people around if they are interested and sell cheap2 How many months before your Unifi contract finished? |

OoO haha. i just saw a real life proof of how 'complicated' or 'confusing' the onexox is even among existing users. Seriously, they consolidated both prepaid and postpaid into one app, just like celcom, u mobile and digi Maxis on the other hand... Maxis app, hotlink postpaid app and hotlink prepaid app |

QUOTE(ohtheirony @ Jun 29 2020, 12:41 PM) Agreed. That's why if you are a medium to heavy data user I'm not suggesting xox prepaid. Xox postpaid, maybe, if you relies heavily on hotspot. Yeah. I would recommend anyone to go with hotlink m prepaid unlimited at rm35 instead. Totally no need to worry about other cost. Monthly just pay rm35. No need to pay SST too.The old app has been discontinued since last year, which is funny because it still makes it to huawei app gallery before being discontinued. The app login is either otp or email, but the otp is not good as digi since both will log you out if you open the app without internet connection, but digi logs you back after you close the app, connect to internet and reopen the app. Now I am having difficulty asking for otp for my relatives living far away just because i clicked on the app without realizing my internet is off... how come u need to ask ur relative for OTP. u are subscribing line for ur relative? |

QUOTE(hengger @ Jun 29 2020, 01:54 PM) Yes confusing and one more weakness onexox dont have office branch. It is kinda difficult if we have issue to solve. to be fair, a lot MVNOs in lion city also do not have any physical stores to handle registration or other issues. A lot of their supports are online only to save the operation costs. so far so good, as long as there are people available for online chat or replying to emails. after all, not so much problems needed to be fixed for typical users.QUOTE(ohtheirony @ Jun 29 2020, 02:38 PM) Exactly. Since you need to hold the line for 5 more month then calculating the cost of mnp and season pass, monthly commitment of around rm12 is ok yeah. still ok if only buy the sim pack + welcome deals. My distant family member registered not under my name, so... If I'm not mistaken they have authorized dealer all around the country, you can perform many transactions there including ownership transfer sometimes i hesitate to go to those ah beng shops. I dun really trust the way they handle my data (such as photocopy of IC etc.). normally to sign up any mobile line etc, i only do online directly from their official website or go to the official store if they have one one. |

QUOTE(ohtheirony @ Jun 29 2020, 03:57 PM) In the past they may ask for a photocopy of your ID i did see this, when i register u mobile at 7-11. Now even the xox dealer you see at street or pasar malam they use app to capture and verify your ID, not using personal camera app or hard copies however, i still prefer official store if i come to register something la. haha. |
