Is the 30+20 days validity of 1x-18 or 20 subscription stackable, meaning 50 days from existing line validity instead of from plan subscription date?

Agree with you.

My 1X-18 new SIM displays 4G data connection immediately on activation.

Then select 5G connection on network selection, it's still showing 4G.

After sending SMS to '5G ON' to 22777, Telco reply came back saying 'Your 5G is now activated!'

Voila, 5G data connection signage came on, as expected.

My interpretation is every 1 RM top-up will get 1 additional day of SIM validity.

Besides, every subscription of 1x-18 or 1x-22 data plan will also get additional SIM validity of 30 days.

Note: This data plan always has 30 days of data active status.

Hence in your case it's 5 days plus 30 days.
