you may active minimum 500MB. If usage 500MB per month, the 13GB season pass will last up to 26 months
*
Nice. I never knew that could activate the minimum of only 500MB instead of the whole quota of 13GB one shot. Thanks for highlighting

All telcos will be having tac issue upon mnp success due to security issue
*
Usually, how long does this Tac/OTP issue persist upon mnp success?

Hi,according to Onexox, the TAC/OTP problems will solved automatically 3 days after your line activated.

Hope this will help.
*
Noted. Thank you for the info 👍

For MNP, I believe we no need to buy any welcome package or topup to eligible for 28 month validity?
*
Yes, you are right. No need to purchase any welcome package or top up for 28 month validity, if MNP in.

*
MNP stands for mobile number portability, meaning you switching from one telco to different telco whilst keeping your existing number.

What a creative way of putting that acronym Bro. But basically you are right, MNP if unhappy with the current telco.

Great minds think a like, hence why I also park one of my third number under XOX for the 28 month validity 👍✌

question is, do they aspire to be in THAT league?
*
I believe what XOX prepaid is offering is considered one of the best in terms of value amongst all the various telco's, those premium one's included.

As for whether they aspire to be in the same league as the big players is yet to be seen in the future. They might expand and offer competitive post paid packages.

QUOTE(TOMEI-R @ Nov 24 2019, 07:51 PM)
Much more exp too.
Ya.. I prefer their special deal season pass. Very worth it. Rm50 for 333 Mins + 10+2gb data.
*
Compared to XOX, the others competitors are definitely pricier. Hence, why we all chose XOX 🤭

I am surprised that you have been a XOX user for a year and still having problems with the OTP/TAC. I read quite a few prepaid users having issues when it comes to receiving OPT/TAC sms, hence why I decided to use my postpaid line for that purpose. I'm sure there is a way or solution to circumvent this problem.

I received a spam SMS at 3am today. CS said they will refund me ASAP the RM4 that the spam service charged.

But they can't immediately refund the 15 cent charged, which is the SMS to subscribe the said service, that WASN'T SENT FROM MY PHONE. I've notified CS my concern that, obviously, why my number is used by someone other than me.
*
Not possible for your number to be used by someone else but rather ads with spyware that uses your phone number to subscribe to unwanted services. The users than get innocently charged a few ringgit here and there for no reason. Just complain to CS and if they don't take any action, just lodge a report to MCMC.

Try to connect to 3G/HSDPA protocol to see if OTP/TAC goes thru or not. If still not getting the OTP/TAC, then, better port out.
*
Would using 3G/HSDPA protocol help with the OTP/TAC? I thought having 4G/LTE protocol would be much more reliable and better. Just curious Bro

XOX is not my main line, so I dunno would work or not...

But for UMobile (main line for all online activities), if I set to 3G/H+, it'll 100% get OTP/TAC, while 4G/LTE is 50-50...
*
Right. Noted Bro. Likewise for me, XOX isn't my mainline either but I never had any issues with DiGi and Maxis.

Hmm .....

1. Again, typical misconception on OTP / TAC problem ...... most of the time this issue is a 3rd party gateway problem where onexox/xox does not have any control ...

2. Better line coverage and speed ? Dream on ... MVNO depends on their principal MNO ... if celcom tower gets borked somewhere and cause congestions then onexox cannot do much and must rely on celcom to fix it .... just like when a fiber cut happened not too long ago in the northen area ... all MVNO was affected then ...

3. I overheard some dealers talking over teh tarik that onexox targets 7 million subs for 2020 ..... I'm thinking that's probably the magic number for xox to become MNO and have their own towers ? .... but then again for a company with NOT a deep pocket I don't think being MNO is possible ..... just the spectrum license will sink them ...

Wake up and face reality ... there is no telco that is able to provide 100% satisfaction guaranteed ...

Onexox is an MVNO that provides reasonably good product at a reasonably good price and able to cater for low-to-mid  usage consumers. Their black product is quite competitive with unlimited calls and data buffet up-to 100GB ...

The otp / tac is a 3rd party gateway issue. As zher 4883 already pointed out that onexox is not to be blamed .... but then again ... the general public is fickle minded and most doesn't like to read long paragraphs and wouldn't want to understand the real issue .... and the vicious cycle repeats itself ....

Well explained regarding the OTP/TAC there. It really irons out a lot of misconceptions users have and constantly blaming the telco's. 👍✌

Well at least he admits that there are certain issues which can't be explained or doesn't know how to resolve instead of masking it, pretending that the service is all perfect. That is very good on his part as a dealer

*apolgise first for 'out of topic' comment

i'd ported to tunetalk a month ago.. immediately faced TAC/OTP problem from certain banks and services.. i do received the sms pin but its delayed, so everytime i received it, its already expired.. one month later, issue still persist despite several contact with customer service of telco, banks, etc..

it seems like certain portion of users faced such issue when they port-in to Celcom's MVNO
*
If after some time, with numerous reports and problem still persist, the only other solution for peace of mind is to port out to another telco provider. Unless you are really happy with the other benefits of Tunetalk. Someone XOX users who ported out to Tunetalk, claim they resolved their OTP/TAC problems after. All depends on your decision

yup. only lucky ones got no problem with TAC. more often than not got problem with TAC with one of the service providers.
*
I really don't understand why only a selected few unlucky ones face issues with their TAC/OTP. The pattern seems random and totally unpredictable if you are going to face this problem or not. Surely there has to be a blanket remedy to fix all customers facing this. Sorry, but I am just being curious.

yup, just that the incidences is very much higher on this telco than others. my advice, don't use this telco as ur main line or only use it if otp are non essential for u.
*
Yes, you are right. I'm not using XOX as my main line, and more like my third line to park and maintain validity of my VIP number. So far so good because I don't use it for OTP/TAC request.
