Any prepaid plan can buy 6 months (RM30) or 12 months (RM48), no matter got data subscription or not.
New prepaid plan offer more data compared to old one (but if you don't use that much data per month, I'll suggest to stick to the old plan)Old Prepaid plan (Prepaid 1.0 and WAWA) are not open to new customer anymore (but current user still can use the plan).
If you port out (or change to other XOX plan), you can't use the old plan anymore.

Hi,if your current prepaid using 1x-22,this data plan valid for 30 days with auto plan renewal IF....... your prepaid have enough RM22 credit to be deducted.
If your prepaid don't have enough credits, the data plan will be auto terminated after 30 days. You can top up and purchase any of the 4 1x data plans.
If you want to change data plan, you need to terminate the current data plan(Sms DATA END to 22111/23388) and choose any one of the 4 data plans(1x-18,22,35,48)
Active/non expired 1x Prepaid line validity : -
a) You can make send sms if you have sufficient credits
b) You can make calls if you have sufficient credits or have active 1x data plan
c) You can use data if you have active 1x data plan
1x data plan 30 days validity(After promo expired) : - If you have active data plan but your prepaid line expired, you can't make calls or use data.
Every RM1 top up will get 1 day validity stackable if your prepaid line still active.
Now 1x-18 & 1x-22 data plan have promo until further notice....... when you purchase 1x-18 or 1x-22 data plan you will get extended prepaid line validity.
Always check your prepaid line validity(Expiry date) to ensure you can fully used the data plan.
https://onexox.my/tandc/details/one-x-prepaidjust curious,
for this new prepaid vs old.
in the old for data, you buy the data e.g. happy hour get data + talk time.
From the data, you can then subscribe to the lowest which is 2gb each month data. Then can have it auto renew, or you can manually do each month (but is a hassle to do this). I don't know what speed but i didn't particularly have issues with it.
As for the new prepaid, 1x-18 cheapest for rm18 is 6 Mbps unlimited, but gets throttled once u hit the 100GB cap is goes to 512 Kbps.
So for this new prepaid, i think u said that if u don't pay for the monthly data, basically data cannot use?
Then what about if you buy say happy hour for data. Can you then apply for like the 2gb per month subscription like the old prepaid can?

And how do you go from an old prepaid to the new prepaid without changing phone number, is that possible?
But seems like it might not be worth doing that for users like me that barely use any data. Or at least the 2gb auto renew each month is more than sufficient. And like the happy hour for Rm 30 you get 28gb of data, which is about 14months worth of data if subscribed to 2gb on auto renew.
That seems much cheaper than the rm18 new prepaid for data ya? i mean rm18 monthly quite cheap already, but if can cheaper if not use much data, why not?

ONEXOX Prepaid 1.0 (Season Pass)
This was a legacy plan that focused on long validity and the ability to carry forward and share data.
Long validity: You could extend your SIM's validity for up to 28 months by purchasing a "Welcome Deal".
Data and calls carry forward: Unused data, minutes, and SMS could be carried forward forever, preventing wastage.
Data and calls sharing: You could share your data and call minutes with other ONEXOX Prepaid users.
Season Pass packages: These were flexible packages of data, calls, and SMS that could be purchased and stored for later use.
does the new onexox prepaid have this
1. carry forward unused data, minutes, sms forever?
2. season pass subscriptions?
*update
QUOTE
Yes, some of the older ONEXOX prepaid plans, but not the newest ONE-X plans, have Season Pass subscriptions. Season Pass acts as a long-term "savings account" for data, minutes, and SMS, which users can activate for monthly plans as needed.
However, XOX has restricted or removed Season Pass compatibility for its most recent prepaid products:
The ONE-X Prepaid plan, launched in 2025, is incompatible with Season Pass. Existing prepaid users who migrate to a ONE-X plan will lose any existing Season Pass data, minutes, and SMS.
The TBG Prepaid plan can use a Season Pass, but only if there is insufficient prepaid credit to purchase a mobile data plan.
The MySISWA plan is temporarily not eligible to purchase Season Pass packages.
How the Season Pass works
For older and compatible prepaid plans, the Season Pass offers an alternative way to manage your mobile usage and validity.
No expiry on items: The data, minutes, and SMS stored in your Season Pass do not expire as long as your SIM card remains active.
  Two-step process for data:
First, you purchase a Season Pass package for data, minutes, or a combo plan.
Then, you use the credit from your Season Pass to subscribe to a separate data plan, which will have its own validity period.
Immediate activation for minutes: Unlike data, voice minutes purchased through a Season Pass become active immediately and do not require a second step.
Shareable resources: You can share your Season Pass data, minutes, and SMS with other XOX users.
Check balance: You can check your Season Pass balance by dialing *150*1#
Based on this, i get that season pass is a feature no longer available for new prepaid for onexox. So sounds like the carry forward for the data, sms, talktime also no longer a thing? does it then expire after not using it after certain period? Cause seems like it's switched to a monthly subscription deal, so they don't count it that way anymore.
the more i read the more it seems like the low data users would be better off with the old prepaid (assuming you dont care about any speed throttle limitations they set. i dont mind, cause it just works for what i need it to)

did they say whether they will terminate the old prepaid at any point later for the old users?

QUOTE
In October 2025, ONEXOX initiated a phased, automatic upgrade of certain older ONEXOX prepaid plans to the newer ONE-X prepaid plan for selected customers. However, customers were given options to retain their old plan by topping up at least RM30 before the October 1, 2025 deadline.
What this means for existing customers
Automatic migration for some: For some customers, the upgrade to the ONE-X plan happened automatically.
Option to keep the old plan: The upgrade was not mandatory for all. Users who took action before October 1, 2025, could keep their legacy ONEXOX prepaid plan. To do so, they needed to perform a cumulative top-up of at least RM30 for a continuous period of 120 days.
Continued usage for existing plan holders: As of November 10, 2025, existing ONEXOX Prepaid subscribers can continue to use their current plan without interruption. However, new registrations for the old ONEXOX Prepaid plan have ceased since January 2, 2025.
Loss of Season Pass and data upon migration: If a user migrated to the new ONE-X plan, they forfeited any unused data, talk time, and SMS from their Season Pass.
How to confirm your plan status
To determine the current status of your prepaid plan, it is recommended to:
Log in to the XOX Black App to check your plan details.
Contact XOX customer service directly via their website or by calling 12273.

So i just checked seems mine got auto upgraded to the new one-x
but my data subscription is set to the auto renew 2gb monthly. but it says will end on dec. so not sure if it will auto renew in january or not. because they mention for the new one-x plan you are basically terminating all your talk time, and data there isn't it?
i noticed can purchase the buy data from the happy hour. guess i'll just monitor for now. But i remember correctly last time i disable the auto renew, the options got limited to whatever was available. so i'll just contact support if a problem does occur then. anyway wish i had noticed sooner

or does anyone have any advice what to do? ideally i rather just retain the old prepaid. because i want to buy data via season and subscribe to 2g data, since based on price it's all i really need. i don't think there any significant advantage for the new prepaid plan is there?

And to put salt on wound, seems after they convert ur account from old to new, they didn't even give you that promo for 2 year free validity

but seeing as i can still buy season pass, and the 2gb data auto subscribe still works, guess i'll keep low for not till it doesn't work. but it does say my account is on the Onexox - prepair (One-X) which afaik is the new prepaid?
donno if the season pass and your sms/data all that gets deleted beginning next year or something?
