Religion is a tool used to rule the poor. The second there was big enough of an income gap to justify the use of religion to rally the masses, we started heading down the same road as Iraq.

There is a big difference between us and them.

While they have a glorious pre-Islamic history (the great Persian empire) - Malaysia doesn't have a strong pre-Islamic history or any cultural competitiveness with Arab.

Most Malaysians deem Arab as superior in fact while Persian have superiority complex over Arabs and see Islam as a tool to subjugate them to Arab rule.
