Of course there are new non-local cars for that price range ... just that it's not sedan type only.

There's Inokom Getz and Naza Suria/Kia Picanto ... can't really say local right? lol

Ya sad.gif Not sedan, not that I'm picky, but I can't fit into a Hatchback or find it really difficult to squeeze myself into one! laugh.gif

why not get a corolla SEG? the '92-'95 model is about 25k. and the '96-'99 model is between 30 - 40k....the SEG is known as a very reliable sedan. the choices you have is either a 1.3 or a 1.6 engine. its way under your budget, and you'll get to save alot.
but if you prefer something newer then the '01 1.7 i-vtec civic is priced exactly at your budget now.

The Corolla SEG is definitely a good car, but then I'd think twice about it as the people who take good care of their SEGs usually do not sell them or find it hard to part with them.

The BMW suggestion is ok, but the cost of its FC and maintenance would be a problem..

Gonna get the car next week. Looks like many here are recommending the Honda City. How much would a second hand Honda City i-VTEC '03/'04/'05 cost? I've seen it being sold for 53k or so.. is that a very good price or should I be suspicious?

depends on the condition.. BUT you must aware that most of the 2nd hand car will cause of of problem especially the main maintenance. if the previous drive had taken care of the car in a prefect condition then u shouldn't worry much.

always remember to ask the previous owner why they want to sell their car and also the condition of the car that u must carefully double check it before buying them because most the people will sell their car when it's either in bad condition nor the car has involved accident.

that's all i want tell you. good luck.. smile.gif

hhmmm FC is to be expected from a 2.5 litre 12 year old car. 20sen per kilometer for highway runs and about 29sen per km in city.
