What is the waiting period for Tudor bb58 black?

Perhaps the gilt/gold of the OG comes across as....dainty maybe?

I'm debating whether should get the BB58 or not. Seems nice n all but can't help but feel its over hyped. I suppose one good thing is that resale won't take such a bad hit since its reasonably in demand

I think my wrist is a little flatter than most, seems to feel more comfy with the BB 41mm rather than 39mm though, which is another thing.

Thats an interesting observation though, Tudor BB being the choice for enthusiasts and Rollie sub being the flex piece. Never thought about it that way but it does make sense. Fair enough the rolex is more established, pricier, coveted n all but it has evolved into a show piece due to consumer perception n demand. The BB58 on the other is a well executed newcomer that just oozes value however which way we look at it, punching well above its bracket.

I don't know if I'd agree that Tudor can be considered as an enthusiast brand.. because many others would come in mind. I'd say Tudors' are more for people who'd love to have a decent, well built, on par with Rolex standards, daily beater at reasonable prices. Perhaps in the past it may have carried the stigma of being the poor man's Rolex but I think in the past few years they've done well to detach themselves somewhat from that label. And that's a good thing as they do build excellent watches, and buyers nowadays sought them out for what they truly are.

The fakers and wannabes can always procure those superclone China reps. And while it's true that in the current era subs and DJ's are so common, for those with the means, they'd rather insta flex with RM's, AP's and Pateks.

Yeah, I see wat u mean, seen from that angle its quite a chunk. I am reminded that the 79230 is tad thicker than its 79220 smiley text predecessor, owing to the fact that the former's inhouse caliber is thicker than the latter's ETA one. One of the reasons that makes the 79220 still appealing somewhat. That's a good comparison la the side view, really puts the dimensions into perspective 👍🏿 Do u usually wear ur bracelet on the looser side?

Right!! Spend 50k+, yet still need to beg a sales person. In SG, some have resorted to lick ass of a Rolex AD publicly on social media, macam the AD is a savior. Summore, nonsense purchase with purchase means you may be spending well above 100k 

Lol I'm not a big spender at VC, they have bigger clients but treat every customer equally well. I guess I get the extra treatment as I purchase directly from the boutique, so no discounts but you get the other perks. Also I've decided to purchase a boutique edition so it's not available anywhere else, which makes paying for it a bit more palatable (or I tell myself lol)
I was invited to sample their Remy Martin Louis xiii in store but the pandemic has put everything on hold    I'm trying to get them to hook me up on a VC HQ tour when we get back to normality. I guess I will have to buy another VC by then 

To reiterate what friedricetheman said, we're done chasing after Rolex and the AD games palaver. You get treated with more dignity from other brands. TBH it was refreshing to see what other watchmakers have and hence I've moved on to VCs, Lange and Breguet. There are just too many people with Rolex on their wrist everywhere too and I prefer to be a bit more discreet.

I can't even think of these as consolation prizes la bro, they are great and desirable pieces in their own right
