No vanilla scent? Can't be, mine which is a little over a year old still has that smell...

Honestly, on mine, it is very very faint. You'd miss it at first sniff. Like, you'd need to SNIIIIIFFFFFFFFFF to get a whiff of vanilla. I had to do this behind closed doors, else people can hear.
