I see, Breitling also did not offer me extra year warranty even I went to them just for battery and seal change. However, hey did offered 2 years warranty in the first service which they did some major work with the quartz movement.

Does RSC still deals with older Rolex like 16600? Would love to drop by for proper T&C once emco/mco is lifted?
*
Yes. RSC will still service 5 digit Rolexes like 16600. I just got my 16200 serviced before the pandemic.

haha interesting how things went on after so many years.

Now is all about bringing those previously acquired watch back for servicing so it is unavoidable to see what have being happening all the while laugh.gif

I am around when Panerai was slowly getting crazier and you still can walk into THG to buy the 14060 without much drama and Air King was still some obscure range for one to enter the Rolex world
*
Ya I still remember those crazy times where even a Black Seal is trading over MSRP and nobody has them in stock. I wanted a Black Seal for the longest time but was unwilling to pay over the odds.

Wearing my Datejust 16200 with open 6 and 9 date wheel today. I believe this is a transitional model as it features open 6 and 9 date wheel, sapphire glass and luminova. Most Datejusts with open 6 and 9 date wheel are acrylic glass and tritium versions.

classic for sure

I supposed  your wrist size is 6.5 inch / 16.5cm in circumference?
*
It’s actually closer to 7.25”. The camera angle makes my wrist smaller than it actually is.

Here’s another shot.

Hello Watch Enthusiasts, Collectors, Senseis..et al,

Thought of gathering your opinion/input,  setting aside the price as well as the technology craft, which of this will you go to - Ming or AP ?

Thanks..
*
AP Royal Oak Offshore without doubt. They are true sports watches. I use mine in the pool, while playing tennis and also when chilling on my friend’s Sunseeker. You can’t do that with a Ming watch unless you get one of their dive series.

It’s good the new 43 diver finally ‘ceramic’ their bezel...as meant to be a daily beater
*
The new diver is still the same size at 42mm. The new removable plots are available for retrofitting into their older Diver models.

The normal models of the new divers are still steel bezel. No ceramic bezel unless on ceramic model.

There are carbon and ceramic versions of the older divers too. The only difference now is whether if you prefer the more classically styles double hash hour markers found on the older diver or the newer 0 (at 12 o’clock), 1 and fat short 1’s newer hour markers.

The new offshore chronographs are 43mm.

Just thought I want to share here. I didn’t realize that my watch and car logo colors are identical (blue and white) when I drove my E90. Lol.

38mm price is drooling after discount.

but 43mm looks better in size.

Any comment on breguet marine?
*
Breguet Marine looks too plain and not enough iconic elements to stand out in the crowd. In this price range, a generic look is not going to fly. You don’t want to spend so much money on a generic design.

Patek entry level calatrava has hobnail design on the bezel. Audemars RO and ROO has screws on the bezel. Vacheron has a cushion case watch with a tilted dial. Even A Lange & Sohne have models with a large date and offset hour and minute hand which is recognizable from a meter away.

This Breguet Marine just looks like any other watch with 3 hands and a date window. Even a Rolex with a date magnifier or an Omega Aqua Terra with a teak dial is more iconic and recognizable than the BM.

What option do I have after vc 4500 black?

Alange odysseus looks good but only for vip client.
*
Calatrava 6119 with hobnail bezel.

ROO Diver 15720 with quick change strap.

Code 11:59 two tone in white gold and yellow gold. White gold outer case and yellow gold hexagonal inner case.

For sports models, nothing beats the Royal Oak Offshore diver 15720 with 300m water resistance and quick change strap kit.

For dress watches, the 6119 is beautiful and at 39mm, it’s very much a modern wearable size.

For something different, the Code 11:59 two tone is really nice.

These are all current production models that you can look into.

Ok lah then, I also want to start wearing my G-Shock in day-to-day office. If boss ask why so juvenile, I'll say FM also wear...

Nowadays, feel very uneasy wearing nice watches. I feel like, there are many people suffering out there no makan yet I'm here flashing a shiny time piece...
*
You can still wear your shiny watches to the clubhouse lah. I wear my watches to go driving range and swimming every weekend now. Just don’t wear them out in public places like malls or offices.
