Hello guys
Would like your opinions for a purchase.

My budget is under RM1000. After much thought I decided not to get an Automatic.

Here is a watch I'm looking at :

Citizen BM6750

It has most of the things I want:
White / silver dial.
40mm
Something fancier than a battery quartz.
Dressy leather.
Price well within my budget.

So before I pull the trigger via dutyfreeisland shop, would there be another alternative I should look to?
*
for about the same price, you can also look at citizen nh8350 or orient bambino. both are dressy, simple and most importantly automatic.

aardvark can't you just order the part? I suspect you'd need to leave a deposit of sorts at least, hence why they're asking you to go in. Won't take two months; they just give you the worst available estimate. Last time I sent a speedy in for some repairs, some parts took up to two weeks to arrive.

And in today's wet wet weather, something legendary...

how much is this now in malaysia? always wanted one (especially the non-date version) but wayyyy out of my league at the current moment.

guys, would like to ask, how long does your leather strap normally last? especially those dressy type?

i ride motorcycle to work, so my watch is kinda exposed to sunlight and rain (occasionally). current leather strap already started to crack. still wearable, but too distressed for a dress watch.

Hi my rider friend ;-) I'm joking of course. happy.gif Pure leather strap usually is not covered with a waterproof film, leather wreck in contact with water. oops.gif You can choose for a rubber strap that make water slip over it. brows.gif Otherwise a bracelet. console.gif

hey thanks for the reply. i guess no choice but to use my mesh bracelet for work. i don't think i can put on a rubber strap cos its a dress watch.

Watches below are all within your budget:

Oris Big Crown Original Pointer
Hamilton Jazzmaster Chrono

and the list goes on.

so many good watches in that range.

hi all, anyone can recommend a dress watch with minimal look below 2k?
*
tissot visodate should fit your budget nicely. but if you are okay for something that is a lot cheaper, there's a lot of other recommendation that i can give e.g. orient bambino small second.

Wonder why we do not have dedicated thread for watch brand recommendations, but maybe is because watch is very individual?

Anyways, I am looking for a watch with this features, hope anyone can recommend! smile.gif

Analog
Leather strap
Complications (must) - Date/Day
Complucations (optional) - moonphase
Budget: 1k-2k
*
orient sun and moon?
