I think for Nomos, sending to 3rd party service center should be ok. Most times its just to check minyak, cleaning n WR integrity only. The movements aren't so different from existing tech aside from the swing system, and Nomos as a company tak byk songeh when it comes to selling spare parts to 3rd party repairers. Unlike some other brands.

QUOTE(bengang15 @ Mar 19 2022, 07:13 AM) Hi, incidentally i am also looking to purchase a Nomos. where did you buy yours? Haven't picked one up yet actually, just scouting around for now. I'd probably go the same route I did with my Sinn and order direct from some dealer abroad like Montredo or TWC, can get better prices that way especially if they support free shipping.have anyone heard of bestwatch.my the price there seems reasonable i was at a watch gallery in garden mall. they do carry nomos brand but kinda of pricey This post has been edited by pleasuresaurus: Mar 19 2022, 07:58 PM |

QUOTE(waka14 @ Apr 11 2022, 03:04 PM) how do you guys normally wear your watches? the ones i got on the bracelet are comfortable, but as i walk to work and start sweating, they slide down to the bone...there are days i feel that bracelet straps are not suitable for our weather hahaha.....geng pls feel free to input sikit, tq geng I remove ss bracelets as soon as I collect a new watch and just use them with straps. I love straps, keep an ever growing collecting of them. Incidentally, all my watches happen to be of 20mm lug width so I can just interchange whatever straps I want with whichever watch. Keeps things interesting ![]() waka14 liked this post

Hmmm...I suppose it started off as wanting to preserve the metal bracelet and spare it from scratches - helps with resale. But after a while its actually nice to be able to sport different styles on a whim. And since all my straps are using quick release spring bars, swapping between them is painless and takes seconds. waka14 liked this post

QUOTE(widget @ Jul 7 2022, 08:10 AM) Nice history you have with the watch there. Nice one, not something seen every day 👍🏿To me, if the repair cost is bearable (maybe less than 500 or so), I would have it repaired. But if the cost is too much, I would have keep it as it is. For today, I'm still rocking this Marathon ![]() widget liked this post

QUOTE(ariffdude @ Sep 24 2022, 01:10 AM) Does anyone have any comments about nomad watch straps? Thinking of getting 2, the croc butterfly clasp one and the horween leather Been using these for about a year, seems decent enough. Its just leather, no issue other than general wear n tear. Comes with quick release spring bars which is a must for me. ![]() ariffdude liked this post

I have a few straps from Nomad, their stuff is decent enough, especially considering they come with quick release pins. I like their tropic style strap, its been my daily driver now for a few years.
Re: delugs - bro, u get what u pay for la. u want quality u got to pay for la, that's a premium brand from a 1st world country. There r plenty other options. U could do what they do also and look to Vietnam for leather products manufacturers. They got many customizable options that I think are fairly decent for the money, very wide selection of materials and colors. A google search will yield quite a few potentials. |
