Can you guys tell me the difference between PCIE graphic card type of 7900GS and 7900GT in term of gpu clock and ram clock? And other features that they do have?
I am thinking about to buy 7 series card of Nvidia.
Sorry if this is quite noob question.

QUOTE(ben3003 @ Jan 24 2007, 10:14 AM) if i wanted to play games at higher reso and higher setting then i should opt for 7900gs? How long can it last? Proabably 2 years? Since 8series midrange is coming out soon, i dunno which to decide. If 7900gs which brand to go for? I saw galaxy one is a good overclocker with zalman fan compare to others. I am also deciding whether to wait for 8 series midrange graphic card or just buy high end 7 series such as 7900 GT. However, who know if 8600 Ultra is better or can match 7900 GT performance? Sure I am in dilemma. Any graphic card enthutiast type person can enlighten me?

QUOTE(vey99 @ Jan 24 2007, 12:03 PM) Initially I wanted to wait also, but then decided to get a 7900GS and enjoy some current games then later in the year only upgrade. I oredi plan upgrade GC every year ( depend on budget la ) that okay, just enjoy some games by using 7900 GS or 7900 GT for a while, then when the 8 series mid range out, and we found it is better than 7900 GT, maybe can upgrade lar... but when 8 series mid range out, I fear not many people willing to buy 2nd hand high end 7 series card? I mean if I want to sell the 7 series card to get some money back? Sure 8 series is fully directx 10 compliant lar.. people want a directx 10 gaming experience. Quite hard to decide, because these high end 7 series are expensive. I should be careful to spend my money to justice the worthiness of these 7 series card. Thanks for your point of view, vey99. QUOTE(toughnut @ Jan 24 2007, 01:33 PM) for now, try get a used/2nd hand highend series7 for cheap. try garage sale. last few weeks many offered their 79GT,GTO and 7950GT for sale. only rm700-800. now offered mostly 7950GX2 for arround 1k. i top up about rm300 after selling off my 66GT for a 79GT I am considering to buy a 2nd hand 7 series from garage sales, too.. but i think i prefer a new one, untouched and never be O/C before. Or waiting in pain the arrival of 8 series mid range... This post has been edited by coolblade: Jan 24 2007, 02:03 PM

@RokXIII
How about placing bigger heatsink on these RAM? Hopefully can push the clock higher.

@kalakatu When u want to claim warranty, just reapply back a look-alike original thermal grease after cleaning the AS5 stuff from your 7900 core.
