Haha yeah the one in KL also sold out 30 already of that stuff.. so once the things landed have to grab hehe... btw I've just PM you on extra info I would like to know because I'm not really familiar, there are so much ubiquiti product and look alike hehe (but different speed / wave / use application)  biggrin.gif  blink.gif ... and another one "ETH-SP Ubiquiti Outdoor Gigabit Ethernet Surge Protector" I'm not sure it's applied to all outdoor product or only power beam product... hehehe....  cool2.gif

Perhaps u can try get extra Lyn discount with your best-friend  drool.gif ... hehehe  biggrin.gif

*************************************************************************************************

By the way suddenly I've think of another 1 configuration, not sure if this configuration are better in-term of performance and CPE Placing, but seems this configuration might add additional 200+ extra (this is just draft - because it's adding on additional cable $$ and CPE $$  bruce.gif .. hehehe  biggrin.gif

Configuration as below :-

01.Router Z (192.168.1.1) connected to 2 CPE(LBE-5AC-23) through 2 of the router GigaLAN port (CPE III & CPE IV)
02. CPE III Will point (ptp) to CPE I as Below (bandwidth 80Mhz - Full Throttle).
03.1 Ubiquiti CPE I (LBE-5AC-23) at my friend house and connected to 1 of his LAN port router (A).
04. CPE IV Will point (ptp) to CPE II as Below (bandwidth 80Mhz - Full Throttle).
05.1 Ubiquiti CPE II (LBE-5AC-23) at my other friend house and connected to 1 of his LAN port router (B).

* I think the CPE I,II,III,IV will have their own static IP same subnet IP range as Router Z (192.168.1.X)
* Router A & B will have different IP / Pool ... (192.168.2.X) & (192.168.3.X)..

P/S: Not Sure if this configuration will need more setting / static routing ... because from router A to router B will have to go through CPE Static IP .. Scenario From "Router A to Router B" the path will have to route like this ...
(CPE I -> CPE III -> Router (Z) -> CPE IV -> CPE II) ... but from the throughput seems faster (in-theory) as dedicated bridge (80Mhz) and dedicated Gigabit Ethernet for both that connected to Router (Z)... but extra $$$ and maintenance as both pair should be configured & tuned ... not sure if Router A & router B static route table need to be be alter much... I guess Router Z is the one that need to do all that routing static Ip metric job... Just Theory.. hihihi....

by the way do you think the CPE need to be configure it's static route from router A.. to Router Z?
*
1. Regarding subnet, if you need everyone to see each other, better put everyone within the same subnet. Your router Z will be the only DHCP server in the network. You won't exhaust all the IPs. All AP and CPE should have static IP.

2. To answer which setup provide best performance and value i need to know a few things:
- Do both of your friend houses located within 120º from your house?
- Do you have line of sight of both houses?
- How much throughput would you think is good enough for your network?

1. I running Cat6 for HDMI so might as well use the same for the new cables

2. so better to use AC LR

3. this is for a house lar, not hostel, but it is a three generation house so plenty of users, plenty of devices, so many streaming and what not, I want it to be reliable, and fast!
*
If the floor is too big, it's much better to use 2 AP than 1 LR AP.

I see... that Interesting, if let say the people from Router A or Router B wanna have their mix internet connection, for example 1 of my friend already subscribe / use screamyx(with phone bundle) and with this project(because only he's sharing the cost in that house), so he wanted to know if his network (let say router B) wanna have his own DHCP supplying the router own IP address (perhaps same or different subnet).. but only his (laptop/desktop/handphone/xbox/ps4) have static IP that pointing to Router Z directly... so that his screamyx still there serving other in his house... and the house will only use single router... only he know that he is routing his packet towards ubiquiti CPE II -> CPE IV -> Router Z...

I'm not sure if the above scenario can be apply with ubiquiti AP + CPE (option to block DHCP spill over) ... maybe Router Z need to maintain static route of both destination / DHCP of some sort...  hmm.gif  ... quite challenging to think of the scenario ....  biggrin.gif

Btw all router in hand currently are Aztech FG7008GR(AC),tp-dlink,d-link.. I read somewhere that OSPF are very good for mapping route dynamically, but I think I read that "OSPF option" not available on ubiquiti "router line".. is it correct?... I try to avoid using software router (pfsense) using mini-its intel J3060 (6W) .. hehe on paper it might have many router functionality matching enterprise router, try to avoid extra cost there...

Btw based on your question.. : I guess both of my friend located around the 120º area just that their distance are different (perhaps around range 100º - 110º).. quite at the edge of sector antenna beam angle.. need to fine-tune AP for nice signal coverage... hehe, my current target are can be able to play game... shared file.. and also "4K streaming" .. "4K streaming" might tax the network a lot... but not sure how practical.. because all of us will have our own shared file location on each router, we just shared our FTP / shared folder to each other...  hehehe

for both house it's not so line of sight ... means I know the location of their house are.. but perhaps 2 - 3 obstacle before the signal reach them .. btw their house are less than 1 KM from mine..  laugh.gif
*
Without line of sight, closing to 1km distance, I think it's nearly impossible. When you say 1 or 2 obstacles, is it a tree or a building?

4k streaming can be 5mbps can be 20mbps. If got line of sight I think can achieve 100+mbps.

Currently I'm using a pair of nanobeam ac at 200meter line of sight. It max and quite stable at 350mbps.

You don't have to worry about existing streamyx, let others use that wifi and let your friend use your network on another AP(using existing in hand routers) . No need to complicate stuff.

previously ordered mikrotik SXT Lite5 two times through ebay. Both times okay. Just that the first time I mistakenly use old office address and after failed delivery(and kept for 1 month), poslaju sent it back to Latvia.
