Hey guys, so I just recently moved into a new place, and just recently installed Time @ 300 Mbps.

My thoughts were:
Modem --> ER-X --> AP AC --> WiFi Devices
Also desktops will hook straight up to the ER-X

For a 900sqft apt that is very low density, I think the AP AC should be sufficient enough, but AC LR is an option.

I probably will be against drilling my top ceiling and instead use some high strength 3M type sticker(?) for cable management as well as to keep the device on the ceiling.
Alternative option was to have it mid wall mounted instead.

Thoughts?

im curious what is result for dual WAN speedtest if using USG... because last time when use ERlite can get 100+100 = 200mb...  now it detects 100 

1. yeah probably cable tray or fish through lighting wiring
3. 2 port, one behind living room TV is very central and seems like the perfect location for either a mid wall mounting right behind the TV

hehe okok, erx vs usg though? i dont think im a very heavy user, mostly lots of video streaming, gaming, and the occasional torrent here and there, its more of getting exposed to UBNT myself, maybe i can start with erx and later on add in usg between erx and uap?

Anyone is using USG-Pro4 with UniFi Turbo or TIME in 500Mbps?
I'm thinking to replace my Mikrotik to that, so i can have the DPI feature.
But afraid the USG-Pro4 is unable to take the 500Mbps load. 

Anyone can share the experience?

Do you run some blocking for the DPI? Like restrict certain category?

Want to understand that the USG for TM UniFi?
Is that we need managed switch for the VLAN500 and VLAN600? 

My own house and my inlaws house located 3km away driving distance. So in straight distance maybe about 2km. Plus my house located a bit higher ground compared to my inlaws.

So my question is ...Is that possible if i can install a dish on my roof and beaming it towards my in laws house and provide them my Internet? My current plan is 500Mbps.

I'm planning to deploy a router for a hostel. Currently choosing between EdgeRouter 12 and  RB4011iGS+5HacQ2HnD-IN. Which one is better in terms of network traffic monitoring, network traffic history record and network quality of service? Can EdgeOS features compete with RouterOS in any ways?
