Hi guys, is it possible to use Ubiquiti Fiber Nano G UF-Nano to replace unifi's ONU?
Since Unifi's authentication is via the serial number of the ONU, if Nano G's serial is changeable then I supposed it will work?

I think someone did purchase it before.. but then, not sure if someone did give feedback on it or not... theoritically it looks like it can work, but need some credential that need fill in by getting it from the ISP....  too bad.. no toy to play with to verify this claim..  sweat.gif

Ahhh I'm blind, someone did comment on the product page, it'll work for Unifi
Checked my onu, toss that serial number in the Nano G and it should work.

Hi, new Ubnt user here
Recently I purchased a USG Ultra from Synchroweb, been using AX88u with it
I would like to switch my entire setup to Ubnt but local prices are double the MSRP
However, prices in China (used) seems to be pretty decent
Is it possible to mix-match Ubnt equipments from different region? Thanks

Based on what I know. Hardware wise, there are 2 variants. US or global. US means locked to US region (operating within US environment/regulations), global version (same hardware) will operate based on region that we selected in Ubiquiti OS. If we selected Malaysia then it will operate within Malaysia regulations. I thought of getting from China too but I want to play safe.

Also, do note that UNBT not build for speed. My U6 Pro, usually gets about 600-800 Mbps only. I tested with Skyworth before, 10xxMbps. U7 could be faster. I'm yet to pull trigger on U7 pro XG or XGS. Current wifi speed is enough for my wireless devices.

Thought of getting U6 Pro, IW6 and PoE Lite 8 from China because the total price is still below a U6 Pro here
I saw them talking about US set and China set but nothing global

Tbh, using AX88U is enough for me at the moment, just sometimes when I restarted only the USG Ultra it will not assign IPV6 to LAN side unless I restart 88U as well

Btw, if you planning to get the unbt AP, you might want to check out the design tool. I find it useful to check out coverage area. Better if you have schematic of your house layout.

Edit again. Also, wifiman app from Ubiquiti is good tool to check wifi.

Yep, checked
I need an U6 Pro in the living room with an IW6 in the furthest room
Probably will get everything sorted out end of the month

Asking for some suggestions here
Recently I just upgraded to 1Gbps fiber plan, with symmetric speed
I'm using UCG Ultra with Asus AX88U as AP
However, I noticed a problem...whenever I restarted the UCG without restarting 88U...I wont be getting IPV6 from clients under the AP

Probably be changing out the AP, but U6 Pro doesnt seems to be that good for 1Gbps plan? Also, my house is right beside the airport which means 160mhz would constantly getting DFS and fell back to 80mhz

Looking for some suggestions for hardware
I have 6 wired devices, 10+ wireless (half of it are wifi 7 capable)
Need a powerful AP for the front of the house, while having an inwall AP at the back for a single room

I would go with u7 pro xgs (4x4) or pro xg (2x2). 6GHz only works well with line of sights, no obstacles. Should be able to get 1Gbps speed or more with wifi 7.

You can always buy 1 and see the performance. @yenchenje using E7, he can comment on wifi 7 performance.

I'm thinking about
Keep the UCG Ultra
Add a Lite 8 PoE
Get an U7 Pro XGS + IW6 (back room)
Would this be sensible?
