true.... and longer waiting duration to get certain UniFi range. however, airMax, EdgeMax, airFiber is not affected.

Which UBNT switch? the US (white) or ES(black)?

If ES, just trunking do T,U on the switch port by GUI / CLI, its the same.
if US, you may need controller to manage it first, then you create vlan on network section(only vlan)
