Finally got to touch and feel a S37G... Sure it has a powerful proc and graphic chip, but in my hands, I wonder just how months (not years) it would last without breaking in half. Not to say anything about the unit's build quality itself, but it's me that's the problem.
For reference purposes, I once dropped my Fujitsu C2220 from table height (from the boot of an Avanza, actually), and the magnesium frame cracked open. It took some hammering from a comp shop nearby to close the huge gap on its side, but it worked just fine after that.
I imagined what will happen to a S37G if I were to drop it like that.
Gonna get myself an XPS M1210 to replace the 3 year old C2220, because of its magnesium lid and frame, the 7400 go (still no where near the S37G's X1600) and the 3 Year (accidental drop cover included) CompleteCover.
Great specced lappy though, the S37G. Shame I know I can't take care of it.
