QUOTE(cybpsych @ Feb 14 2019, 11:35 AM) oic, no more 10 swipes but they didnt change the FAQ for the supplement card etc Q: Is Supplementary Card' retail transactions accumulated into the total spend to meet requirement of 10 retail swipes per month and are those transactions eligible for 10% cash back also? A: Yes, all posted retail transactions on supplementary card will be taken into account as per principal card. However, cash back earned will be credited into the principal Cardholder account only. |

QUOTE(ClarenceT @ Feb 14 2019, 07:51 PM) You must have at least RM2000 POSTED on or before 28/2, the rebate will be credited on 28/3 (check on 29/3). I see, so it means for 1st apply, its better get the cc at early Mar instead of now. If so, normally how long does it take to approve for cc?? and Boost is under the utilities? For the merchants not using HLB's card machine, it will take 1-3 days for the transaction to be posted. So to be safe, complete the transactions by 26/2 (not 28/2, as transactions on 27/2 and 28/2 may be posted on 1/3). If you choose utilities, then pay to your electricity account RM1,000, and RM1,001 on Bigpay or Boost, before 26/2, then you will get RM100 CB on 28/3. |

QUOTE(ClarenceT @ Feb 14 2019, 08:05 PM) Bigpay / Boost - 0% Yes, i mean the money spend on boost is included in the rm 2000 minimum spend? Oh, and I m not worrying about the monthly fee, just that if I get the cc at 20th feb, I dont have enough time to spend RM 2000 in like 6 days You just need to spend RM1,000 on your selected categories (10%), as the monthly CB is capped at RM100. +another RM1000 on something else (including 0%/10% cashback) Approved in Feb or Mar not important, No monthly fee. Not sure on card application processing time as I got my CC long time ago. |

QUOTE(ClarenceT @ Feb 15 2019, 08:39 AM) Bigpay/Boost is the tool for you to do final adjustment before month end closing. I see, then the money dump to boost, if no use can refund?Eg you can spend RM200 on Mobile + 2 selected categories, then dump RM1801 to Bigpay/Boost on 26/2 evening (stop using the card on 27/2 and 28/2), you will earn RM20 cashback for February. |

QUOTE(ClarenceT @ Feb 28 2019, 02:33 PM) Shopee Malaysia is now localised since January, both cybersource and Ipay88. So means for local online shop, mostly dont have additional charges but for overseas one got right?Taobao App - auto converted into RM and no cross-border charge (Alipay earns the forex commission). [+3% charged by Taobao for using CC], not sure if you get 10% CB under Departmental category. Taobao Web - payment in RMB, then +2.xx% by Visa & card issuer. [+3% charged by Taobao for using CC] It is better you top up Boost e-wallet (no additional charge) and use Boost to pay Taobao, +1.5% (occasionally waived) charged by Revenue but you gain from shake reward. for Boost, +1.5% are compulsory one right, because when I pay with online banking, got charge 1.5% too |

QUOTE(ClarenceT @ Feb 28 2019, 02:53 PM) HLB don't collect Cross Border Fee, so if the transaction is in RM, no additional charge. I see, then what if spend at overseas retail shop? +3% also? and are there any maximum credit limit for wise gold? My salary around rm 3.5k, my credit limit rm 5k, is this normal? for wise goldFor CCs, not only HLB, +2 to +2.5% forex commission in cross border settlement. Using CC to pay Taobao +3% charge but occasionally waived (eg on 4/2 CNY eve). Using online banking / Boost (RevPay) to pay, +1.5% but occasionally waived. Also HLB Wise's spending requirement (minimum RM2000) is based on Posted transactions (1st-last day of a calendar month), try not to use on Shopee / Taobao in the final week of a calendar month, as it is not 100% guarantee the transaction will be posted by the end of the month! |

QUOTE(ClarenceT @ Mar 29 2019, 07:41 AM) Electricity: TNB, SESB, Sesco, which one? Electricity: Sabah Electricity Still Backup (opps, is S/B)Water: which one? TM Unifi: Not under any of 10 rebate categories. Read https://www.hlb.com.my/content/dam/hlb/my/d...ns%20-%20EN.pdf Utilities: Electricity and Water (MCC 4900) ONLY. Other utilities NO rebate. No rebate for Jompay transactions. Water: Jabatan Air Negeri Sabah so means both I cant pay with credit card...? |

QUOTE(ClarenceT @ Mar 29 2019, 10:28 AM) SESB that means i got totally 0% cashback for utilities.... need to change the category liao... by the way, the pharmacies category only entitle to Guardian, Watsons, Caring and Eu Yan Sang? other pharmacy not eligible?I searched in HLB Wise Threads but unfortunately nobody reported since V1. SESB doesn't have a payment channel similar to MyTNB (Tenaga) or SEB Cares (SESCO). Most likely you need to swipe your HLB Wise CC at SESB's payment counters (if they accept Visa). Alternatively you may consider using Boost Bill Payment, 0% from HLB Wise, but you gain Shake Reward from Boost. Jabatan Air Negeri Sabah Nobody reported since V1. Most likely you need to swipe your HLB Wise CC at their payment counters (if they accept Visa, as most of the water boards don't accept CC payment). As Sabah Water is under Sabah State Government, if the MCC is under Government, then 0% rebate as it is not under utilities (Electricity and Water). |
