Hey guys,
I just got my new wise CC.. after activation, i received a sms with temp pin..must change the pin at HLB ATM? or over HLConnect?
I do not have online banking with HLConnect yet..i was trying to register and create one with this new CC but the system said cannot process..
Could it because i havent change my pin at ATM causing the system cant recognized and proceed?

I had the sample problem before, but in my case, i have a debit card and credit card.
And since I have a debit card, I had to use the first choice in https://s.hongleongconnect.my/rib/app/fo/sec/reg to register.

if you don't have any saving/deposit/current/debit card, then just use the 2nd option for credit card and the temp PIN.

If all still fails, call CS to help you create PIN, then try again.

Alright, Thanks for the info.
I shall go ATM and hv a try 1st..Hopefully it works..

Let's do a scenario analysis shall we?

Scenario 1:
Slightly more if I use Essential to pay Insurance. 0.6% on RM1,000 would be RM6.
Insurance etc RM1000 x 0.6% (Essential) = RM6
Petrol RM300 x 5% (Ikhwan/One - Weekend) = RM15
Mobile RM250 x 2% (One - Weekend) = RM5
Groceries RM450 x 5% (Ikhwan) = RM22.50

Total monthly = RM48.50
No annual fee so total 12 month will be RM582

Scenario 2:
If I use Wise:
Insurance etc RM1000 x 0% = RM0
Petrol Mobile Groceries RM1000 x 10% = RM100

Total monthly = RM100.00
With annual fee of RM170, total 12 month will be RM1,030

The crucial point would be the additional RM1,000 on other spending, whether one is able to hit it or not.

yeah, agree with u...
in ur case, wise benefits u more...

for those that spend <=1000 monthly, wise is a total no go after new TnC...

True wise if better...but hitting Rm1000 insurance monthly is not easy...
i usually pay insurance monthly few hundred onli
monthy spending of rm2k is too heavy for middle class malaysian...
annual income requirement for gold wise card is RM 24k
spending 2k a month is like spending all your income

Need to spend even more (RM2.5k) to make more sense.

If I spend RM1,500 on petrol + insurance (RM1,000 Insurance + RM500 Petrol) I will only be getting max cap of RM28 (effectively 1.87%), unless I spend RM280 on petrol, and RM1,220 on others.

Total spending of RM2,500 and above makes the cashback better at 15% of Petrol + E-comm + Auto-bill (insurance i assume) but capped at RM85 per month. (3.4%), leaving Mobile + Groceries behind for other 5% cashback card.

Need to calculate more to find the optimum level of spending. laugh.gif

Yup,
I also saw that capping for SC JustOne
even with spending more than 2.5k still onli get the best CB 3.4%
Still not a ideal card to replace wise..

Do you guys think it works for me if I use wise every 3 months to achieve 2k spending for the rm100 rebate? My expense are particularly TNB & Maxis. No more for petrol as I couldn't pre-pump for 3 months. So I will be getting rm400 per year.
Note: annual fee not an issue, at least for this year.
Thanks

Accumulating bills to acheive is doable...
wont get full CB as in rm100 x 12
but at least still 5% on bills
Another issue is bear in mind any late charges or reconnecting fees tat will impose if the services is cut or block
for tnb i think possible to drag for 2 mth , not sure gt any penalty or nt..
but maxis is base on credit limit...if over credit limit then will block your service...
Overall accumulating 2 mth more safe but 3 mth need to watch out and monitor...
no harm trying...can post result here if successful...
