hi guys, info sharing.. try call CS ask for AF.
I juz called, the CS ask me do i aware of new term for cb, i said yes.
i want to know when my AF will be charged, then he said he able to waive my AF.
he told me currently they will waive all hlb cust wise card upon request, so i only will be charged next year.
i think they want to prevent large cancellation/termination.

Just called...

CS said I can request for waiver provided I continue using the card (monthly spend 2k πŸ€”) but CS need to confirm whether for 2016 or 2017. (Initially said 2016 will be charged as usual but 2017 waived πŸ€”). I will update once getting final confirmation.

Told the bank staff. bank staff also say hard to reach Rm2000 consistently.

It depends. For normal household, toll, petrol maybe difficult.

You speak for yourself only is it? RM2000 is damn low spending for those age 30 and above. Petrol, Groceries, Food, Insurance, Utilities.... confirm over RM2k la for family

Many here have more than 1 CC...

PBB VS x2, CIMB CR, UOB VOX (now useless but got new YOLo), Aeon CC, Citi CB, Stan Chart....

Most of those have less requirement and easier to get CB...

Eh, you are part of HLB staff is it? πŸ˜…

Hi,

You also here.

Any sifus can advise...my monthly spending vary between 5k - >10k

Usually my PB VS (2 cards, including supp), HLB Wise, UOB Vox (Now I have got UOB YOLO)...all these cards are fully maximized in terms of CB...usually for air tickets, hotels, groceries (Now HLB Wise new terms makes me life much easier)

I have CIMB CR card...only for certain online spend

I have CITI Cash Back Rebate...mainly for petrol

The rest I use HLB Essential

Any other cards good for cash back?

For sharing,..

Mine got waived AF until next year also...just called and they are the one that proposed...

As for spending, I find it much much easier than the 10x RM50...for me lah, mainly for work related expenses

I still continue doing spreadsheet to monitor my spending (since last time the 10x thing is hard to track/remember). Nowadays just 4-6 big amount transaction would be more than enough though.

Hi All,

My WISE card is due for renewal on 18th Dec 2016 (Based on last year AF date). My monthly statement date is on 31st of the month.

I'm planning to cancel off my card by then, but this month I have already accumulated 2k worth of spending (including 1k rebate category). If I were to cancel my card before the date I wouldn't receive my rebates for Nov right?

So whats the advisable solution? Stop using my card till I get the the rebates credited in next month end then call to cancel the card? Will I get full AF refunded?

Try call to waive AF.

Sorry to have steered the thread off topic into insurance and SCB, but what I was trying to say just now is for my case no better card than Wise can give me 5% rebate for insurance and retail spending. So I will continue to use Wise until my AF cannot be waived anymore. I have 11 cards and I have gone through deep analysis and determined that Wise + SCB Gold + CIMB CRx3 + Yolo to pay Aeon CCs is the best combo I have now. More OT stuff will be BT back to Aeon CC. So case closed ya everyone. icon_rolleyes.gif sweat.gif

Mine is HLB Wise+PB VS (main)+PB VS (supp)+UOB YOLO+Citi CB+CIMB CR+SCJustOnePlat.

Additional for overseas spend UOB VI+PB VS+Citi Premier Miles

yes, but i am just not happy why some can get the waive the AF but some can't cry.gif

I feel you.

I was gonna cancel it too when I called earlier. But CS is the one that offered me the option to get AF waived for another year. I thought it's standard, but looks like it is not...

May I ask whether purchases for direct selling products will be considered for the minimum 2k/month?

Not under those selected categories but for general spend. Tq

Anyone under TRAVEL catergory can confirm Air Asia X online booking is under this category?

Story: in the past Air asia transaction counted as CB category. Somehow latest CB seemed to not consider 1 Airasia transaction as under Travel Category...

Update: it seems HLB can’t do anything on this, its up to merchant. In order to prevent occurrence of such heartache in the future, i decided to cancel this card.
