well TS cannot do much..

because you're under contract & with phone someore cry.gif

the best you can do is contact customer service & try luck nego for better package.. if lucky maybe can get something good...
*
takkan no one complain or no one else suffered like me meh?

From a customer perspective... I am extremely EXTREMELY unsatisfied with Digi right now.. not just because of the plan but also because the coverage and signal suck so much balls.... in restaurants or often in buildings got 0 line.... on the street sometime putus (rarely) but if such thing can remotely happen also consider VERY VERY bad to me liao..

So far my dad's Maxis line worked like a charm.... my friend U-mobile also worked like a charm...

If Digi coverage can shittier than U-Mobile... my blood boiling like mad liao.... ppl pay RM70 for 15GB .... I pay RM108 for 5GB ... kanasai to the max .. walao think about it also du gao lan leh ... bangwall.gif bangwall.gif

Want to cancel contract but cancel means I have to pay 2 years worth and get nothing out of it.... WALAO.... mad.gif vmad.gif

they did not cheat or coerce you when you signed up for their plan few months ago. it was based on willing buyer willing seller basis.

circumstance has changed since then with other telco throwing prices , Digi has to respond accordingly.

I don't see any fraud or malpractice , it's dynamic business environment.

it is not limited to telco. even supermarket gives fantastic offers from time to time. can we cry foul at that scenario too?

there are remedies
1. terminate the current contract and pay a penalty fee
2. write in to Digi to ask them to upgrade your line as a courtesy to you, not an obligation.
3. remains in prepaid line forever in future / or direct purchase your phones with cash instead of some easy payment or telco subsidies.

welcome to the real world where contracts have to be honored

It's not the matter of contract le bro.... it's business ethics and care for loyal customers or existing customers...

They are not wrong... but I can't say they are not a DOUCHE or ASSHOLE about it....

You cannot compare subscription market to physical goods based market..... In subscription market, buyers don't come and go.... and the theory is to satisfy the customer cause it is 5x harder to get new customers than to retain old ones... from my experience in overseas... if customer's request is not unreasonable.. they will go way out to comply...

I am not asking them to give me 15GB package to match U-mobile also.... just to give me a reasonable quota for a reasonable price... is that so hard to do?? they give me their RM98 plan one also I happy liao... eventhough I am still paying more... at least I know they care... but if No changes... walao REALLY DOUBLE for NOTHING

Singapore telcos also same bro. my friend stuck with 2 years contract with his 10mbps few years ago when newer customers get 100mbps for same price. western countries also like that.

UK no lo bro.... their service is to please their current costumer...

I write letter complain say their telco is not the best in terms of plan and benefit jer... they insta give me rebate...

If you havent notice, UK got this practice where if you can find their competitor price better than theirs and you can collect evidence... they will match it for you or compensate you...

Now I just want to fucking match with Digi's OWN GOD DAMN PLAN also cannot... too much vmad.gif... They know they farked up... but they don't want to admit...

You did get a phone with your plan, is that correct?

In my opinion, the plan that you get with your phone will always be more expensive than normal plan, because you pay less for the phone.

And do compare in detail the plan that you are paying now and that rm68 plan. Do you get the same amount of call/sms?
*
The RM68 plan is the Device plan.. so it should be the same..

lower call/sms but got other benefit like internet rollback... I don't want call/sms also.. never used...

Yo chill people..

I'm not saying Digi is in breach of contract... just saying in business ethic wise... they suck balls... thats why I say they make customers felt like they are ripping them off..

1 thing I don't get is why some people are defending Digi though... Digi Machai? You could be lucky you did not encounter this issue... but one day when you do... you will understand it from the consumer's point of view.

A contract is a contract - get this fact right , and you will find all your arguments are self defeating.

changing package , upgrade plan etc - is not part of the contract, so whatever your sentiments are - they are irrelevant.

reverse this for a moment - what if some accounts department made a mistake in their prices offering for a phone - can Digi write to you to charge you more after realizing their mistake ? they can't - because they'd entered into contract with you. can Digi reduce your monthly quota ? they can't while they are in contract.

it's a buyer - seller thing with both side pledging to HONOUR their terms and conditions.
rule of law and first world mentality should start with ourselves. taking responsibility for our action and not to run away when the facts are clearly not in our favour.

if contract can be changed , and everyone won't honor it how will our country progress? telco will not want to subsidize phones in future due to uncertainty of contract FFK.they also have to provide for "non performing contracts" in their financial report. it will be hard for account department to estimate income from contracts. all this will indirectly affect consumers , because telco will charge an "insurance" on top of the phone prices to provide for FFK contracts.
*
Oh yea.. just so you know..

with all the HONOUR talks... and how we are bound to contract...

Gues what.... Digi allows you to modify your contract as long as they are the one benefiting it... they allow you to midway change plan as long as you are paying more or as in upgrading your plan...

Bottomline.. whatever you do.. as long as they are in the upper hand, they are fine with it...

They are flexible when they get more $$ ... but not flexible even if they KNOW their old customers getting screwed..

again - there is no coercion or force if a customer decides to upgrade halfway. he enters it willingly , and the telco offers if willingly. again it's willing buyer seller.

the onus is on US as consumers to give it due diligence BEFORE entering into a contract, not to CRY after that. I'm not defending Digi , it took me 6 months of testing and comparison of prices before took a 24 months contrast with them. i checked the coverage at my work place and home and testing the speed. I also researched on the forum to see customers experience and complaints on all the telco.
*
Again, I'm not talking about comparing prices or dissatisfy that other Telco having better plans than them. I'm fucking pissed on how my plan is getting ripped off by the plan THEY THEMSELVE offer.

I can let go with the coverage but what pisses me off is that just because I signed up earlier a few weeks... I am paying DOUBLE for the same benefit.

I'm not even pissed about comparing with their promotional plan ... Im fucking pissed about my STANDARD plan had to pay DOUBLE for the same STANDARD plan they revised a few weeks later...

You should try paying double for something similar.... unlike physical goods... They CAN choose to revise my quota and benefits easily ... but they choose not to... so what can I say?

Customers come first?? NOPE.... screw them for signing up earlier...

I agree to that to certain extent. A contract is a contract and its contents are binding. But how about customer relationship? Ie keeping the customer happy. How about customer retention? If you are in the service line, you would understand that keeping your customer happy is very important.
Nevertheless, thanks to (whatever my sentinments were), we are porting out all our company lines to another Telco which doesn't require us to sign any contracts.

I like you....

You understand this from the consumer point of view.. or you must have studied marketing principles flex.gif

You "Signed" a contract to get a phone at a lower cost. Thats how you are bond to "x" years. No issues with fraud, ethics or what so ever here as business is business.
And you said Maxis worked like a charm, by all means pay more then. I myself used all 4 telco and know Maxis service is great, just a steep price to pay.
*
Damn.. I am tired of repeating myself..

Like I said.. I am not comparing my plan with another non device plan...I am comparing APPLE TO APPLE..

My RM108 postpaid is a device plan... the same as RM68 device plan currently offered with 6GB while mine is 5GB...

I signed the contract... I did not say they are in breach of contract... but their business ethics is SHIT.. it's a fact when a customer signed with you earlier but you decided to screw him and not giving him what he actually deserve..
