Probably in the wet cos the PSS is more optimized for the dry performance. Plus maybe fuel economy...
How wide is the Civic's rim? If minimal 7.5jj then can try 235/45/17 which is about the same diameter with 215/50/17 but wider. If still want to use the same size, then try Continental CSC5, pretty damn good tire also.

CSC5 is nearly likePrimacy HP, excellent performance but fast Finish. 6 months to 1 year if daily use.

CSC5 is much higher than Primacy HP in terms of performance category, similar or even higher than PS3 (or on par with the new PS4). I've used it since Oct last year and still very thick despite occasional spirited driving. I think it should last around 40k km which can be 3+ years for me.

My officemate driving 308T with CSC5, daily drive to office from Sri Damansara to Shah Alam & weekend to Ipoh, only last for 8/9 months. Latest the news, the new (One month old) CSC5 koyak at Guthrie Highway(hangus RM650). He just found in UK user tyre review the wear for CSC5 among the fastest 55% compare with Michelin Primacy HP(Audi OEM tyre) at 76%. refer - http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Tyre/Continen...t-Contact-5.htm

Refer from UK user tyre review:
In performance category CSC5 on par with Goodyear Efficientgrip Performance/Michelin Primacy 3ST & below Goodyear Assy3 & Michelin SuperSport. See the average chart, not from single user experienced(bias).

From my officemate 308T user, the CSC5 manage to go 9,500-13,500km(only two times). I read the same feedback from most user in UK user review.

My previous PS3 manage to go 45k+ km(nearly 2 years) with 3-5mm thread when changing to 3ST(waiting PS4) . I feel PS4 could go to 55k+ km.

My current Michelin 3st after 3 months(10k km) nearly 1/2 tread finish. I also feel cannot last more than 25k km even though UK user review chart it show treadwear better than CSC5.
