I planned to buy the A119 with GPS. Is the CPL necessary?
Extreme deal sells at RM354 for A119 with GPS.

QUOTE(sbd18 @ Apr 14 2017, 10:48 AM) i currently use without cpl and i do see reflections of the dashboard, cpl is suppose to reduce that, so i think it might be worthwhile getting... Thanks for the advice. After reading all the positive comment here, I think this product must be quite good for that value.however you can always buy it later... |

QUOTE(blurjoey @ Apr 14 2017, 10:53 AM) It's a good to have items if there is a lot of reflections in the videos. Actually this effect can be replicated by wearing polarized sunglasses, we will see this rainbow color. Do take note that some tinting will give rainbow effects in the video with the CPL during the day. Like mine with CPL and Llumar tint... So, anyone thinking to buy the filter can try wearing their polarized sunglasses and see whether got this rainbow thingy or not. |

Got my new A119 unit with GPS mount.
Setup the date, time, and some preferences last night but today morning it seems that all setting was gone this morning! I set the motion detector to on, does it cause this problem? I didn't hardwired the power to my car. Defective unit? Anyone have this problem before? This post has been edited by leecwai: Apr 27 2017, 09:10 AM |

QUOTE(blurjoey @ Apr 27 2017, 03:03 PM) Motion detection won't work without hardwire as there is no power. The A119 using a capacitor. I think with motion detection, the video will only record when there is motion when you're driving and stop when there is no movement. Better off this option. All setting back to default... Though GPS will correct the date and time, the timezone change back to GMT +0 (default setting)Is it only the time and date settings is gone? If you have the GPS connected, change the time zone to +8 on the A119 as the GPS will sync the time with GPS... I suspect the night I installed it, I only run it for few minutes and not long enough to recharge the RTC battery in it. Next day after driving for around 1 hour, the setting now is ok. |
