Need advice from Bezza Manual user as well. I have bad experience with previous Perodua MT car (Myvi, Alza) which feel very rubberish and not nice at all (compared to GETRAG unit from Iriz). Appreciate Manual User feedback.

Also, what is the RPM for Manual transmission when running in 5th gear at 110kmh?

Thanks.  tongue.gif

Based on carlist they said the Manual version not longer rubberish feel, but I don't see a real driver stating this yet...

Yeah the RPM, really interested to know... with MT I believe the power is a lot better because you have the full control over the transmission biggrin.gif

Yeah, don't want to repeat the scenario where I bought Saga BLM MT with the rubbish Aichi Kikai gearbox without knowing that the RPM at 110kmh is already 3700rpm and noisy like hell.  vmad.gif

Well, I don't expect the power is better as it is using electronic throttle, not cable. You won't be getting the DIRECT power based on your pedal position.
*
I don't hope much... just give me a sweet 3k rpm at 110km/h for 1.3 variant biggrin.gif

my cousin has an axia MT that this bezza are based on and I have the iriz MT.

I don't think you would be very happy.

iriz is tune for fun but proton reputation and conti parts means it is expensive and probably aren't long lasting.

but you're get a stiff chassis as its high tenstile steel that is seven time? stiffer

while axia  steering is heavy while slow, Honda CR-Z have a steering that light at slow but provides almost no feedback, in Kia eps you have to push buttons to choose the heaviness of comfy or sports.  the ZF source EPS in iriz is none of that.

the axia would not move by just releasing the clutch. infact the clutch doesn't communicate at all. it's either open or close and no in between.
*
Based on carlist they said " the Bezza’s manual transmission is enhanced with double synchromeshes for all ratios." So this should be some improvement over the Axia one, plus for 1.3 Variant I believe they will use different set of gearbox with different Ratio like how Myvi 1.0 vs Myvi 1.3

Iriz I never tried before so I couldn't give any comment on this sweat.gif

Even the new Persona or Saga released, I would still think twice to get them due to
1. Their engine will be refreshed another year + -
2. Once new engine launched, RV will drop dead for those with old engine unless price differ is obvious.

So I'm plotting to get this Bezza as replacement and I need a Sedan cause I already have Hatch

So when new Persona or saga released with new engine, I would just sell off this Bezza which still have good RV on it and get them (If they are good enough to convince me to change)

This do give me an impression that 1.3 MT will have longer gear ratios... Hopefully the RPM is lower when cruising in highway at 5th gear

At least the engine is quite refined and not noisy, even at high RPM say around 3400, it should be bearable. Wish it will be 3000 RPM....wish.gif

Unless you're talking about the super noisy CAMPRO, with crazy high 3700RPM at 110kmh.  vmad.gif

Also, just realized that both the auto and manual gearbox are manufactured at Sendayan plant too by Akashi Kikai (a subcompany of Daihatsu). Not to be confused with Saga BLM MT supplier Aichi Kikai.
*
New saga FLX with getrag not bad la... RPM below 3.5k at 110km/h, I find it wasn't so noisy as well... (Maybe due to wind/road noise silenced the engine noise brows.gif )

I see youtube Axia MT at 5th gear gets 3k RPM at 100km/h, hopefully this bezza is same also for 1.0 version so that 1.3 version will be even lower laugh.gif

the new saga spyshot looks really good from back view

I do agree with that, damn nice for A-segment car, I think even B-segment car couldn't look any better than this. (P.s. just for the rear view)

A first look at the new SaGa ==> I thought that I have seen similar design cues somewhere. and yes, the style has got those el-cheapo China made budget car style. The idea of making small size car to have those big luxury car silhoutte will definitely end up like this (look at the sloping boot). Yet I really amazed so many people say it's so good looking. Moreover, it is just a carried over model from the current Saga platform with some changes here and there. Again, it is still using the same CAMPRO engine (even with VVT) which is not refined and not fuel saving.

One could argue that Proton will put a lot of safety features in it. But at the end of the day, if the parts and fit finish is not good, you would be driving and cursing every day. Bezza safety is not that bad either. You won't need to change timing belt and you get a proven refined engine from Toyota.

Just my opinion.
*
Regarding reliability I wouldn't dare to comment much because Bezza is also a new car some more is P2 first car with most local content.
In my opinion the Engine did give a lot of plus for Bezza. Regarding design, everyone have their own taste, I do feel the design for new Saga rear is made beyond its segment its more like a design for C-Segment car put on A-Segment car, however its quite up to my taste thumbup.gif

And no doubt the saga fuel consumption will not beat Bezza in any way because it will surely weight more than a ton and its engine is not competitive in current market.
The only point people will go for Saga is for its price, space, safety and comfort.

Meanwhile Bezza nailed in Technology, after sales service, Fuel consumption, city handling, maintenance and reliability(tbc)

I havnt received my car yet, any bezza owners here regret buying bezza? Bezza might be a good car but what ticks me is the price.. U get a A segment 1.3l car, if toyota made a baby vios , 50k would be the price, u plus 18 19k can get vios or city or elantra (i read city offer now 63k not sure), for the price (plus minus)u can get a persona or preve which is B segment 1.6l car. I am sorry, i am just having second thought as my gf my sis my dad my workmates all condemn bezza as ugly car and underpowered car.they all asking me is it possible to cancel now.. From the reviews here turns out its not even that fuel effiecent.
*
QUOTE(dirtrun @ Aug 9 2016, 09:43 AM)
Hi,

I don't think there is any problem in cancelling your order - l mean if tats wat you want.. Besides its a popular model n P2 SA would not have any problems finding someone to take your place in the queue..
After saying that, its quite normal to have cold feet.. n you are not wrong in second guessing about the Bezza.. If its any consolation, Peroduas have always been a little expensive [ as compared to Proton - I guess they know their cars are less problematic.. ]
Just curious, if you dont get the Bezza, what would be your next choice?
*
My thoughts of getting a Bezza is to replace my ageing 22 years car for temporary like says 3-5 years, I'm actually more interested to Proton Saga or Persona but the one with new engine line-up. But I couldn't wait that long. So after 3-5 years if the new proton did deliver with really promising engine and features, who knows mayb quality got better? Then I'll swap this for those Proton and still have high RV.

Why 3-5 years and not just wait next year? Because its a Proton, I need some time to observe it's problem and not to end up like the Gen 2 having really poor newly developed engine that give high torque and hp value at peak, but soooo poor performance at low-mid rpm range.

And why not the soon to be launched Saga and Persona? Because something better is coming for this car, why bother buy the 2nd best and seeing the RV drop so much when the new engine version launched?

LOL..

You seem to know what you want n have made a list on wat not to do.. hehehe biggrin.gif
If you are thinking like an accountant then keep using your old car.. there is absolutely no benefit in getting the Bezza or even the upcoming Protons.. Either car will lose money once it touches the road under your name [ or the banks - tats wat actually happens when you take a loan .. but tats another story.. ]
If you are human - well .. life is short - live a little.. In the end when we leave, we cant take it with us..
*
There is benefit, I get 4 stars from this car compared to my 0 stars for the 22 years old car (Because i'm looking for MT) thumbsup.gif

i never owned a car before, i dont know, i only have driven my sisters 2013 vios e, and i remember how i felt, i feel want to get back into the car and keep driving, it felt good, so my choice was vios, plus everyone says toyota cars is good, can last long. but vios is not really a option for me, coz i still need to buy a house, i remember asking my sis to take mc coz she was sick, than she said 'if she take rest who will pay for the car?' so i dont want to take vios or city even if i want to, my budget is 50k maxxx, at first i thought of buying second hand vios under 40k, but everyone said no, my officemate said, buying second hand car is like catching another man's poop. plus i dont have anyone to help incase the car breaks down, so i opted to buy new car, so since proton threads have so much complains on saga and persona, i am left with perodua, perodua is good , my best fren using 2013 myvi, its very reliable and never had any problem, i am thinking of myvi vs bezza or even alza, myvi is a matured car, been 10 years, sure most defects have solved, parts and expertise to repair surely got. Another thing  everyone saying a cars life is only 5 years? nobody planning to keep a car forever, even the SA told me to blast the bezza for 5 years and sell it, so in my mind, isnt a good car worth investing more if it can last you longer?
*
For the bolded part, I think you buy car to please others instead of yourself.

There's nothing wrong owning a used car if you have limited budget.

What with the cars life is only 5 years? U mean after 5 years it will kaaboooom and turn into dust?
Those people pandai tok kok sing song, but did they change their car after 5 years?

5 years need to change car, that's for the rich.

To be honest, the rule of thumb for buying a car is car price = your yearly income
Which means u need to have 4k monthly income to afford this full specs Bezza

and many people also say u can't afford the car if u need to loan for more than 5 years.

But take a look at it, how many people actually following these rule?

That is not cable management, proton just hide them with a big plastic cover.

To me that still counts as cable management. Isn't that all management is about? Hiding ugly things cool2.gif

If got problem easy to check and see. User itself can check by their own. Maybe this is the reason why?
*
Nah... trust me, 90% user won't even know if those cables have any issue or even know what those cables for, its just plain that Perodua doesn't care covering that part because the Dual VVTi is enough to be seen on paper than on engine cover, hence they didn't need to cover it up.

Other manufacturer do also cover their engine bay nicely.
