Still yet to see any 300W vape from Tornado. TFV8 does have 280W from djlsb. TFV8 RBA is huge. I wonder if I can fit dual 5mm clapton inside and shoot 150W+.
*
Daniel couldn't take higher wattages on the Tornado review...flavor burnnnn!
Sprechen Deutche?

Tornado @ 300W

I pre-order at RM350 including postage. Can get cheaper in auction but the frustation you feel when someone upbid you the last few second before closing time.  shakehead.gif So, I ordered one this morning.  laugh.gif
*
RM350 isn't a bad price lah. Hope u receive it soon!

One thing about these auctions, I really have my doubts because there isn't any mechanism to safeguard genuine bidders from shills/joybidders. So I prefer to just look around for a shop selling at a decent price.

And that's why the crafty folk at iJoy make the top airflow kit. The atty should have come with top airflow built-in. But hey if Uwell can sell RBA's separately, that business model can be applied by any other mfg. More profits!

*
Hmmm....maybe a Russian or Squape would do justice to the DNA chip on a single coil. I saw ori ones available at Cloud Gear vape studio, SS15. However those attys may not be very matchy matchy with the mod .

I'll just wait for bigger decks with proper air flow.
Try Uwell Crown.
*

18mm vs 17.8mm deck....
Yeah the TFV8 deck is larger than the Tornado's....imagine what u could do with that extra 0.2mm...woohoooo! biggrin.gif

And proper airflow....well, that's still very debatable.

Given ETA is 15/8. Can't wait.

I'm going to open fb less frequent or I'll end up with another mod. Haha
*
Only 13 days to go! I'd appreciate it if you can post your views on the mod after you've used it.

Of particular interest to me is that battery cap's metal flap which seems hard to deal with. Please do tell us your thoughts and impressions of the device smile.gif

Back to the first rule of auctions then: Know the market value of what you're bidding for. This is usually enough to keep you from being burned, especially when "market value" is FT price (for hardware) or Shopee price (for juice).

Though people usually forget the second rule while in the heat of bidding: Never overbid. Set a max price you're willing to go for and stick with it. Shills can inflate the price all they want but once you hit your cap, just start no no-ing and let other people waste their money.

In the thick of the action however, I can attest that this is usually easier said then done, especially if you haven't had considerable eBay sniping experience. The pressure can be overwhelming lol.

Keep to these two rules and you'll be happy for days. Or at least until you squander all your monies away lol.

Which reminds me, need to prepare for my weekend auction resupply of ADV juices soon. I wonder what's on the menu this week.
*
Solid advice, and you're absolutely right!

For some, the excitement/pressure of bidding may be fun to them and that's fine. I'll just stick to the more relaxed shopping modus of browsing and haggling (where possible). It's kinda like some people loving high wattage and plumes of clouds which rival a stormfront, and others who want a more relaxed vape. More and more I'm evolving in the latter category....maybe one day I'll even chant the vaper's mantra while taking small gentle tokes....ohm mane padme ohmmmmm biggrin.gif

By the way all talking about DNA  sad.gif . No love for SX350j ?  bye.gif

I got trouble upgrading the chip to 75w.
*
Actually I do have a long-ish tale of the Yihi SX350J v2, but I'll give u the TLDR version.

Wanted to build myself a SX350J v2 mod
Looked around at the limited sellers in M'sia. NO WARRANTY seems to be the norm. Not good for me.
Asked my cousin (non-vape electronic component dealer) if he got kang tao
Cousin confirms kang tao at damned good "wholesale dealer sample unit" price
Cousin pops off to China on restocking trip and says he'll test the chip b4 accepting.
I happily buy 510 connect, battery sled, buttons, and start selecting wood for the casing.
Cousin come back to M'sia. I run to KL to meet him.
He tests the chip again. It's dead as a dodo.
He says he'll send it back to his "kang tao" along with other RMA items and get refund.
Disappointed, I take the LRT to SS15 and look around
I see the Lost Vape Triade at SS15.
Thought hard about it, ate chicken rice, consulted a friend, surfed for info.
Went back to the shop and bought the Triade.

So YES...no love for the SX350J here...but it's demise did push me to the wub.gif DNA200 wub.gif

Sure,  will do! Still deciding which tank want to pair with it. Haha.

If not mistaken,  you buy OBS Crius Plus right.? How is it. Want to pair it with VT75.
*
Great! I look forward to reading yr view on the VT75 (and drool over any photos you may post!) Frankly speaking, u have damned good taste in mods! rclxms.gif

Yes I got the Crius Plus from debubu, Shopee...it is still en route. Hoping it will arrive tomorrow. Will let u know how it performs on normal SS316L coils after I play with it for a few tankfulls. Hoping it won't be a waste of money like that Billow v3.

I'm also looking at the VCMT (Vaperz Clouds Mega Tank)...and wondering if I should get that too...got to ask the seller a few questions first.

Ahhh... I got a VT200 and a SX350J mod. I personally leaning towards SX350J at this moment of time. Need to try upgrade new firmware before I comment further.

OK bro...I'm looking forward to your Evolv vs Yihi showdown. You have good sensitive tastebuds and surely can let us know how the flavor profiles/layering of juices perform on those chips.

Hcigar vt75 nano or therion 75 by lostvape which one, FT is selling 99usd and 119 usd. single batt vs dual.
*
I love both mods...but love the look of the Therion a bit more. I'm gonna get the HCigar VT75 first (it'll make an excellent carry-around compact mod). Hoping that Lost Vape will come out with a 133W version, but if they don't and I cannot tahan anymore, will just get the 75W one later. Look out for waqi953's comment on the VT75 later on this month...it looks like he'll be the first in the forum to enjoy that mod.

Not sure I'm going to be the first. Pretty sure VapeEmpire will get their hands on first since they are Hcigar big distributor here.
*
Yes VE is the big cigar guy in M'sia...but no matter. U r experienced in owning other DNA75W devices, so I strongly believe you can give us the most unbiased/accurate comparisons, AND u will be very alert to any differences in performance between the HCigar VT75 and the other 75W mods in your hands.

You won't be basing your views on mere hearsay, a photo/article seen online, or on the opinions of vape reviewers. It'll be on real-world personal experience. And to me, that is the best smile.gif

I'm still new to DNA device and still learning using the escribe actually.  sweat.gif

But sure I can give overall view between the mod that I own. nod.gif

Both of them still in a box actually. Just take out to modify in the escribe and try vape a few time. Maybe will start fully use in a few day.  icon_idea.gif

One thing I notice on the VT75 is the battery cap is hard to put back. Need a few try for the thread to caught. All the review I watch say the battery cap is easy to put but not in my case. The Therion battery door is the way I prefer but the battery is damn hard to put in. Even damage the wrap on one of my battery. I'm sure you experience it on the Triade. Maybe it will loosen in time.
*
Yes Lost Vape mods have very tight battery fittings. Only had probs with the Triade batts the first time I tried to take them out. There's a vid on YouTube which shows the proper angles to put in/remove batts...I followed that and it was easy, even tho still a bit snug. No torn wraps so far. Maybe you need to experiment with various angles, and push hard up against the spring-loaded contact side.

Edit: Addendum - The VCMT atty is a clone. I decided to try it anyways cos I don't see other sellers who stock it. Call me perverse, but I kinda like to test out some attys which aren't so trendy or hot. There's a few diamonds in the rough here and there.

TFV8 RBA looks significantly bigger air flow.

Stop speculating and guessing! biggrin.gif

U can measure the cyclops inlet and the deck outlet properly to compare when yr atty arrives.

BTW..."bigger" airflow does not necessarily equate to "proper" airflow.

Still doesn't solve stacked coils heating. The heat is compressed. If you ask me, 2 bigger coils is better than 6 small coils.
*
Unless you've actually tried 6 coils with the top airflow on, I have no idea how u came to that conclusion! More speculation?

I've done 6 coils before...and the heat at 100W is more than tolerable for a normal length toke. You'll find that the bigger problem is a phrase I've used before: flavor burn. That means the flavor is too intense, nothing to do with heat. That is the same reason Daniel couldn't take the wattage any higher; the flavor was "too much".
