anyone in here change their brake system ( caliper and disc rotor) to different car model system...example Honda odyssey? my alza brake really suxz...even change to brembo disc rotor and trw pad...i still feel the brake not really that "makan"..

Bro , Alza is well known to have less efficient braking grip due to the nature Auto Transmission.
If you want to get shorter braking distance, try equip with a good set of brake pads and brake disc then flush your brake system with a better brake fluid.
Make sure your rear brakes is adjusted about every 10k km. You can perform self rear brake adjustment by yourself by fully stepping your foot brake then apply full pressure on your brakes. Repeat few times and test and see your brake pedal feel is firmer.
A good set of tyres will help stopping distance as well.

Ya.. I do agree, the manual transmission Alza has better grip.  Not sure it is due to the ABS.  The non ABS better grip.

I know the feel of brake not makan, especically downhill.  Press all still jalan.. hahahhaa

Changing the disc and pads does help.  Brake fluid should as long as we change the the same spec kua.

The self adjustment, have not try it..thanks for the tips.

Bro, one way for me to know Alza Transmission is the culprit to bad braking is if u put N ( not really recommend to repeatedly doing it la, i duno whats the real consequences ) u tend to brake grip harder than if your engage in D .

Parking brake automatically adjust by itself when brake shoes wear off bit by bit, so usually I would forcefully adjust it more or i just jack up my rear end DIY adjust my brake shoes .... hahaha

For brake fluid, yes Daihatsu and Toyota brake systems tend to recommend DOT 3. In many books it says ABS usually recommends the usage of DOT 4 ( eventhough SC says do not know what will happen if change to DOT 4 ) so i have replace mine to DOT 4 and it has firmer brake pedal feel.

im using brembo disc rotor and trw pad...and still the same....im using195.50.16 Continental CPC2 tyre...

I am not sure about CPC2 , but I'm using Michelin XM2 195/55R15 it brakes way better than ori silverstone M5 tyres.
TRW brake pads was quite a good set of brakes since my previous conti cars usuage, as for brembo disc , i don't really trust it personally as i known brembo used to produce quality performance brake components but not for small cars ( correct me if i'm wrong ).

In the market , there's plenty of cap ayam products wearing genuine packaging. Its good to find a trusted parts dealer to get real parts than getting counterfeits.
Just my 2 cents.

During any braking or hard braking, best not to put in N. I don't think all drivers will put in N.

in D more, when you hard braking or downhill braking, the D mode will move down a gear to help slow down the car using engine braking.

I have many times when come into a situation where a hard/emergency braking, I will downshift to 3 or even to 2 depending on how much engine braking I needed to assist to slow down car faster.
I can still feel the ABS kicked in..tak tak tak...

Some friends who sits in my car also said, they thought won't make it to the stop as they know Alza / some other makes with AT has weak braking.  It works with ABS without slipping. Then they said, phew..lucky braking is good.

Good tyres plays important role too where grips helps.

Also, as i constantly check rear view mirror for cars / bikes around my car, during hard braking,  i put signal to Right, braking and move car to the right with downshift..the car behind would know i shift right, so he would shift left if needed without banging in to my alza from behind.  depends la..some drivers kopi lesen without basic driving knowledge.

Tips: see as far as possible if there is a car way in front has brake light on, better slow down liao.

Ya true, of course not put N in driving situation .... i just tried when car speed almost at a stop and in a very safe environment.

Same case to me, always ABS kicks in during brake .... afraid ABS will kong sooner than i thought. hahaha

I agree with the way you avoid cars , sometimes many factors ...... I just pray everytime when i drive , don't contact any waving kapcai rider during rush hour.

Great..many drivers ignore riders..i am a biker too and many times fxxx the driver and they dont even know what they did wrong.

Now waiting for my sjcam m10 to arrive. Can use or swap for my alza and bike when needed.

I've no issue with big bike rider as myself was used to dealing and meeting riders.

Its just sorry to say to certain group of people endangering themselves as well moving cars on the road. Sometimes its just frustrating .

kapcais mustn't be waving and hogging road.

Workshop recommend me castrol transmax. He said is same.

Recommend or not best suggestion for you, use genuine fluid according to your vehicle spec is the best choice of all.
No worries after that.
Nothing is same if it is produced by different manufacturer ( ATF ).

Btw, did you guys know about TRW ?  is this brake pad dustless ?

TRW is very dusty and will wear off brake disc quite soon but with exceptional good braking grip ( on my YRV front brakes fitted to my Kelisa with TRW pads, disc and brake fluid )

I only did remapping.  Now looking / exploring the vios injectors (1NZ green one I suppose).  I will do it one at a time.. hope can get it change in next service to see what good / bad about it.  Heard about RM150 range.

now clocking 120k km, and it is due for spark plug and engine oil change.  Doing it in next few weeks.
*
I see , where did you do re-mapping ? Last time there's a service advisor telling me they have guys doing this at SC workshop quietly .

Anyway I replaced to green vios injectors, smooth power delivery. Next fitted with K&N drop in air filter , gear shifting was much more smoother especially drop gear. But this leads to bad fuel consumption @ 7.8litre / 100 km

Yesterday just replaced my map sensor to 1NZ ones, less sudden kick from drop gear ( maybe richer fuel from 12 holes injectors ) but much smoother power deliver and i managed to achieve 7.4litre / 100km mileage on a smooth highway drive with not much jams.

I may suggest you go for Perodua Iridium plugs, i found its cheaper compared to spare part shops.

Michelin XM2 users, what PSI you normally pump? Just curious.

I filled up mine at 32psi front and 30 psi rear.

If with passengers then 33 psi front and rear.
