All the above, he asked me do this, do that. I followed. Wasted my time, effort & money ..... at the end!!! I would rather he told me earlier so I still can have more time to find another gynae, not like now hanging half way, depressed and helpless!
Hi. I also seeing dr.ng sp from Feb And I'm 20w+2 now. Just wondering did you went for the details scan recommended by him ? Dr.Patrick right ? @ jaya one |

Hi. I also seeing dr.ng sp from Feb And I'm 20w+2 now. Just wondering did you went for the details scan recommended by him ? Dr.Patrick right ? @ jaya one
Hope this reply not too late for you to read. YES, I went to Dr. Patrick Chia. I don't have technical skill to judge how he doing the scan BUT .. communication skill of that doctor is an issue. Myself & husband couldn't catch all (perhaps only 50%) of what he was saying. NO JOKES!!! he talked soft and many times he just like talking to himself. Anyone have experiences can share over here? Just to update: I switched to Dr. Cecilia at Assunta now. Overall she is very very good Dr. Cecilia didn't change my medication dosage as of now as she read thru my home BP records and she is fine with it. On top of that, added 1 single type of BP med (to be consumed when needed only, so far I didn't even touch that). According to her, a sudden spike of BP when seeing a doctor (white coat hypertension) is possible as long as home BP is well controlled hence she asked me not to worry.
hi. what is the charges like for Dr. Cecilia per session ? What are the charges like for the ultrasound treatment also ? |

QUOTE(ckseong80 @ Mar 29 2017, 10:56 AM) Hello Dennis, what is the charges like for Dr Liew per session ?My wife and I took consultation from Dr. Liew when we had our first child. I agree he is not really friendly and tend to get agitated if you ask many questions. I think he doesn't like explaining things when it is not required and is the type of doctor that wants you to follow his advise. He will not tell much if your pregnancy is normal and only will inform you if there are abnormalities and give advice. Overall still a very good doctor just lacking in terms of friendliness. |

QUOTE(starianz @ Jan 30 2020, 08:48 AM) Is there any other hidden fees? I would like to be prepared from now Each visit are costing around Rm140-RM200How about the fees on monthly checkup? Will bring my wife for 1st checkup any time soon. Not sure it's different stage of checkup or the time I feel like weekdays are cheaper than weekend although i didnt ask. Already forgot how much tests i've done, 2 maybe? The most expensive are the down syndrome are around RM500 not quite remember that Was with DrNicholas before, not say he's not good but my wife are more comfortable with female doctor DrBheena. Not really got hidden fee, you can always ask the price before you proceed to do any test. For the delivering, the doctor wont let you know the price until the date are near. But it's always there la, you can check up the forum, i think many has discuss about between normal delivering and c-sec already. |

I saw Dr Cecelia in Assunta for 5 visits. Honestly picked her because she was the only female doctor and she has previous good reviews. However I think the reviews are quite old as my experience with her was definitely different as she is now over busy with too many patients. Her costs has also significantly gone up with each visit costing about RM190. The most annoying thing about seeing her is the waiting time. Even if you have an appointment, its first come first serve. So wait times are about 3 hours unless you come at 730am even if you have a 11am appointment. As a doctor she is very informative. Gives you all information however her bedside manner is not exploratory. She does not ask questions or how the patient is feeling rather choosing to make assumptions based on the what she thinks is correct for the occasion. For example I saw her until my 5th month and she never asked me if I had any morning sickness.. Other matter is she believes in giving a lot of irrelevant information which some might find annoying. In my last visit she lectured me about stress levels moving into telling me about her different patients who had strokes and others who develop breast cancer. This went on for 30 mins. I chose to switch doctors because of the waiting times and my mental health. Everytime I had an appointment I was more stressed about seeing her than anything else. Hahaha. The waiting hours are ridiculous. She does not show concern for the patient. Very busy typing and updating what she thinks is right rather than explaining and making the patient understand the diagnosis and treatment. No empathy, probably arrogant ad does not lend her ears. Pinpoint other irrelevant stuff, very stressful. Her costs has also significantly gone up with each visit costing about RM190. The most annoying thing about seeing her is the waiting time. Talks about irrelevant stuff and other patients dying of heart attack. No ethics at all. Dr Cecilia grow up or grow out of the profession. |
