u can get the length and rotor specs from uniqexme site or official walkera site ... then imagine that heli side by side with your TREX 450 .. u will get an idea of how small the bugger is la .. hehehe
its shorter than the ESKY LAMA quite alot .. 100 times more challenging to fly ... 10000 times more challenging to mod .. hahahahahahaa

the OEM skids are thin wire only ... there are 3rd party upgrades for it though .. the ppl who uses it says its virtually indestructible ...

now still trying to get the feeling of that 4G3 hovering .. hehehe
newbie like me oso can hover it for 10-15secs straight land and hover again ... thanks to lots of SIM time ... hahahahahahahaa

must make an effort to go back and change the shaft tonite so tomoro can fly again ... hehehe
FYI .. 4 x (feathering shaft + screw) cost me USD10 ... not expensive at all
i think next month i might be ordering parts again laa ... now that i know what will need to be replaced more during crashes

my other hobby which has taken a back seat currently is fishing .. both freshwater and offshore ... is oso not cheap
buy good fishing gears oso like big heli price liau ... then mod the gears ... custom gears .. service the gears
then have to count the cost of paying for boat ... travelling to fishing spots ... etc etc
it could have been much cheaper to just go market and buy fish .. hahahahaha

who knows ?? one day maybe i might like my 4G3 so much i might wanna spektrum the bugger with HH gyro ?? hahahaha

but always 1st thing 1st ... i have to learn to fly the bugger properly
once i can do that ... other things will fall into place .. hehehe

was flying around just now .. 1st 5 secs was fine ... suddenly heli out of control !!

crashed ..... broke tail boom this round ... nothing else serious .. no broken head parts .. phheewwww
upon closer inspection ... the upper swash has separated from lower swash causing me to lose control ... so it NOT ME !! hahahahahaa ... i already have spare boom .. usd4 ... not too bad .. all casude by the separating swash .. hmmmmm
gonna go back and superglue the bugger (as per advised by forummers)

well ... IF u really enjoy building ... then i guess this is the heli to have .. ahahahahaa ... i am not so worried about crashing costs ... more the trouble to fix it back as i mentioned ... everything is just so TINY !!!

while at changing the boom .. i am going to put on my brushless tail setup which i already have .. and oso upgrade the main motors to a different brushless (more power one) set .. both with their own respective ESC ... huahahahaha
this was the bulk of the cost of the rm700 upgrade i ordered earlier this month ..
btw ...... my TREX 450 PRO just arrived !! huahahahahahaahahahaa

i have to master FF 1st la ... 3D all come later laa .. hehehe
and will be done over grass in outdoor field ... so if crash oso minimum damage .. hahahahaaa

the slightly smaller 4#3b got about 8mins+ of normal FF with that motor ... i should be able to get 7mins FF or 5mins 3D la .. IF i can 3D ... hahahahahahaa

i will persevere with the 4G3 until i can fly it effortlessly .. hehehe
after that its time to show off the 450 PRO .. huahahahahahahaa

tail is now running with brushless outrunner ... hahahahahaa
all i have to do is fit the head back and align everything ... then kowtim liau

if all goes well the rest of the nite .. i shall be bringing my little 4G3 early tomoro morning outside to screw around ... huahahahahahaa

Just find out my sifu crash his compy300 V2 today at BTHO.. . He did mentioned to me some of pro flyer's  look at compy as cheapo heli . He also tell me he maybe going to get the walkera 4G3 V3 to rock the BTHO , the smallest CP helicopter capable 3D..Hmm my sifu weird like to fly cheapo heli.

ps ... u forgot to include maintenance and crash costs ...
3S 2200mah lipos are at least rm100 each .. 1S 400mah is only rm20-30 each

and u cannot fly the 450 indoors and show off in small house compound oso ..
that is once u have learned how to fly la .. hahahahaa

wei . since u can hover hover the 450 inside house considered expert liau la rite ??

anyways ... went to field .. crashed as usual .. maybe i am just not ready to take it outdoors yet laa .. hahaha
the tail motor came off coz i did not CA it as per advised .. its ez job just to stick it back in ... later have to go get some nice CA laa

another prob .. when i push forward on cyclic the heli rolls left as well ... pull back and it rolls right together while going back
checked for bindings in servos and arms and swash .. non detected .. servo travel/limits looks the same to me when everything is removed
anybody encounter this prob b4 ?? i did not adjust any settings in the TX .. swash looks almost 100% level

i oso understand the 4#3 is more suitable to crash and learn .. and oso much much cheaper to crash due to lower HS being an FP ..
but i was thinking ... since i am going to learn .. and willing to bear the consequences ... i might as well learn about CP straightaway .. no matter what i will be going onto the CP wagon so better start learn about the repairs and characteristics of a CP heli so that i will have a much easier time with bigger heli in the future (much lesser crash)

who knows ? maybe i might go buy a 4#3b later ??? hehehehe

thats why i am repair & setting up my 4G3 every time i crash maa .. basic necessary skills but of coz parts need $$$ one laa ... hahahahahahaaa

i did mentioned earlier that the 4#3 is not out of my IN FUTURE MAYBE PURCHASE category maa ... i like small helis in the 1st place ... its fun altho damm hard to repair due to small little parts damm kow hard to see and hold ... hahahahahaa

tonites mission ... interchange aileron servos with pitch servo ... see if problem mentioned earlier still persist

ya .. alot of local sites oso ... but alot of them oso not quite active unless u look in the classifieds .. hahahahaa

hmmm ... lets see ... now i am going to redo all the wiring of the add ons in my 4G3 coz it looks so messy under the canopy ... so today maybe go hunt for small heatshrinks and super small wires
dont really like the wires that came with the BL tail .. the EXT pot contact no good .. thats why the servos not working properly .. need to go get some contact cleaner oso ... but at least nothing spent to buy parts .. hahahaa

DSX7 should be the same as DX7 laa ... should work

dont wanna do SIMS with the ESKY TX anymore laa .. wanna do it with either the walkera or DX7

ok ... the mono microphone plug goes to the USB dongle which is plugged into the USB port la rite ??
