Mine's the only "W" plate Civic in JB. For now.  tongue.gif What's EG?

I'm always hiding in Iskandar Puteri, though. Hardly ever go east. "Best" mileage I got was 18.1 km/l, but in fact, I'm only pulling 12 km/l at best based on my fuel tracking.
*
I seldom go to Iskandar Puteri, but I'm working to promote Iskandar Malaysia tongue.gif

I able to keep up with BMW 330i today and he literally give way to me. We just did around 160kmh. Managed to go up to 180kmh with 3.9k rpm
*
The BMW didn't really go all out bro. That car can easily go 250km/h - my colleague has one and it's even faster than my colleague's Golf R! Our car is definitely faster than the average car, but it pales in comparison against a performance monster. Although I'm talking about the F30, not sure if you're talking about an older BMW model biggrin.gif

QUOTE(bryangia @ Sep 4 2016, 07:46 AM)
Yesterday i was tailgated by myvi for a distance on the highway and its easily cut through me though.. tongue.gif
Seeing some civic X buddy post out the FC can be more than 20km/l on their odometer for highway drive and thinking whether mine one can do it not..decided to do it yesterday...and yes, clocked in 20.6km/l on the 140km north south expressway drive. 60% auto cruise @110km/h, remaing 40% tried to drive around 2000 rpm, no econ mode, ron 97.
This is really testing my patient and and feel torturing... not sure i will do it again though.. tongue.gif

I guess you didn't really try - I've pitted against a Mazda 3, Myvi, Ford Focus, Camry 2.5, Vios, FD2, Teana 2.5, Accord 2.4, Mazda 6 2.0 and a few other cars that are similar in HP/Torque on our highway. So far, none can get past me - in fact they can only eat my exhaust smoke as the CVT is indeed better than the normal 6 Speed / DCT - the powerband is always on 5,500 at peak 220 torque & 174 bhp when pushed hard, How to lawan? tongue.gif

Even when others say CVT is boring la, whiney la, no passion la. In terms of pure acceleration & speed, I've personally smoked all those above cars, and believe me they all tried to kejar me but cannot biggrin.gif But top speed cut at 207km/h is really potong stim...

*
It'll be the first of many bro, so get used to it cry.gif

Yes it does work. Get the right colour code for your car on post 3, page 1.

Edit- If Jusco doesn't have the right colour code for you, you can get it online at http://www.ezytouchup.com/store/

In fact, it's better to get it online, as you can get the combo set http://www.ezytouchup.com/store/EZY+COMBO+...&prod_id=9&in=1

Yes bro, i auto cruised at 110km/h that time to test the FC > 20km/l lah... normally i will just press the acc pedal and let them eat smoke if in normal day.. and yes, it work every time for those similar hp/torque engine...not said the myvi only..biggrin.gif
*
Actually to get better mileage, it's best to use your own feet to cruise. The best I did was 21.5km/l JB-Melaka. 100-110km/h speed. At certain places 90km/h when going up hill. Although 21.5km/l was the car's computer FC calculation, the real FC was 19.7km/l as seen in my fuelly siggy. It's still great though. I'm now driving more sensibly now to get my FC rating up, after terrorizing everyone on the road the past month tongue.gif

Did you already meet the new Focus 1.5T 240nm ?? Not bad for RM118,888 car yoo

*
Met the car on the highway last month. Sedan, not hatchback. Went from 110-180. I could keep up with the car from behind with no problems, had to hold back at certain points. But dunno either the car had stability issues or the driver didn't dare go faster than 190 as i sped past it.

The civic is extremely stable at 207km/h. Then the speed cut potong stim...

All the cars listed by me before are good cars. You wouldn't go wrong by choosing any of them.

Its weird...will check it out again else will bring this up during my first 1k service.

A question also to all, do you all really on econ mode all the time in city. Has anyone try to compare between full econ and no econ FC in city? I on full econ mode but my FC is still around 12 km/L (city drive with occasion traffic jam).
*
Econ mode explanation:

How Honda Civic ECO mode increases fuel economy

Honda ECO mode 101: Does the green ECON button truly increase fuel economy?

No, it’s not cylinder management as applied to Honda’s 3.5 Liter V6 i-VTEC engine.
We’ve experienced the resulting rather dead peddle in 2016 Honda Accord Touring when opting for ECON mode. And in our drive review of 2016 Accord Touring Coupe, largely ignored the setting in our quest for exceptional engine performance.

In the case of the Honda V6, depending on driving conditions, street surface, highway, etc., engine cylinders can be disengaged at the camshaft via a solenoid, resulting in a rather dead peddle, but greater fuel efficiency. And I should note: Under certain driving conditions, you don’t want to pull a load upgrade on ECON mode.

Looking to the low displacement 4-cylinder engine, ECON works a bit differently

Here’s how ECON saves Civic drivers a few dollars when used in conjunction with the fuel-economy optimization meter front and center on the dash.
By limiting the mid-range depression movement of the drive-by-wire throttle (you can feel it fighting you) ECON mode in Civic limits fuel delivery to the throttle body. At the same time active horsepower draining features such as the air conditioner- cycling changes.

You may note the air conditioning compressor coming on and shutting off more often than usual. In hot weather it is recommended that you don’t run continuously in ECON mode. Your cab temperature will run hotter than usual.

In CVT equipped models and older conventional automatic transmission equipped Civic, ECON mode modifies the shift pattern for fuel efficiency. You may notice this change when driving up a grade at speed. Your Civic will not downshift as readily when compared to selected normal or spot-mode for Civic if so equipped.

Hypermiling not necessary

While we you may love the challenge of wringing as many miles per gallon as possible out of a gallon of gasoline, the practice of neutral-gear-hypermiling is not required in Civic to maximize fuel efficiency. Looking to the display in front of the driver, one will find fuel efficiency guidance bars in the form of an increasing and decreasing color changing light bar.

“Eco Assist” coaching bars when kept in the green, reflect the most fuel efficient driving practice on the road to beating Civics’ segment leading EPA combined MPG rating of 33 on regular gasoline.

Need I say it? Fuel economy will vary depending on road condition, driving terrain, region, weather, the average temperature, time of day, blend of gasoline, etc... But, I’ve seen 40 + MPG while driving on the highway in low wind conditions. What’s your best Civic fuel economy to date?

Sos Kicap: http://www.torquenews.com/1574/how-honda-c...es-fuel-economy

TL;DR version: no significant savings - just retards your throttle response and slower aircond. It still depends on your right foot.

I have a query on the ECON mode function on my civic X..

I don't seem to suffer the engine off mode at the traffic lites ; why?
Is it because l have the aircon on at 19 or 18.5 degrees??

My other car - Jazz Hybrid will shut off - most of the time unlike the civic X..
*
We don't have the "Start-Stop" system - It's funny to see a "Start-Stop" system in my colleague's BMW 330i - it's a performance car, not meant to be fuel saving tongue.gif

Hi Guys,

I realised that the my LED day light (in Auto Mode during day time) is much more brighter than my Day light (in Light mode - one click below Auto). Is that normal?
*
Daytime running lights must be bright enough that they can be seen clearly in daylight and as a result are too bright to be used at night time when they would cause dazzle. Daytime running lights should therefore go off automatically when headlights or sidelights are switched on.

Daytime running lights don't have to be separate lights - some car manufacturers combine them with the front position lamps (side lights) in which case the daytime running lights will dim when the headlights are turned on.

TL;DR - Normal & correct.

Hi to all proud owners of new civic,

I booked mine on 21/7 and received on 22/8..1.8S white orchid pearl. It takes me about 4 nights to complete V1 till this page. Appreciate all forumers for all the info here. Want to ask about the HM side step, is it plug and play or wire cutting need to be done?
*
Welcome to the forum! As for your question, I have no experience doing it as I installed the Honda original Illuminated side step. Found the below installation procedure and it looks like it's plug and play - but you would need to open up quite a few panels.

so stock stabilize now?
*
1 month waiting period - it would seem so, but not sure on the TC and TC-P units, since they're the most popular versions.

LOL! I'm about 176 - i can reach the ticketing machine fine with the seats at the lowest possible position. I guess that you need to learn how to position the car nearer to the machine?

QUOTE(berann @ Sep 6 2016, 06:02 PM)
civic X didn't perform as good as HM wanted? Sure?

From the Sun newspaper 2/9/16 (Civic review) :
" Since it was launched, more than 6000 bookings have been made for it, far exceeding HMSB's 1200 bookings per month target!"
" 1.5-litre makes up about 70% of the bookings, so far. A turbocharged Honda Civic is simply a no-brainer".

Sales averaging 2.5k-3k a month not bad la considering economy now is bad & sales drop alot.
