500-1000 including rubber? or rim only?
*
Overall lo.. our rubber dont get back much money. Coz it is in odd size, rarely got ppl looking for it. If new, may get higher trade in price.

QUOTE(IamFreak @ Apr 28 2017, 07:38 PM)
Waaaa.. Compare to Thailand model.. Our specs really like shit lehh..
*
Then you compare with other makers la.. see their safety spec, kinda shitty too.. Mazda 3 is well known with best safety features in Japs C-seg.

QUOTE(vexus @ Apr 28 2017, 09:24 PM)
our spec n thai spec same. our spec shittier than SG spec. SG version with dual auto acond with digital display. Ours is the 3 stupid dial knob
*
Even they give you the dual zone controller, do you stares at the controller and drive? It just give you the impression it is more grand, more classy.. ask yourself, do you go and adjust the aircond frequently? How much does the Mazda 3 cost at SG?

Ofcoz, it is good to have la.. damn nice the panel.. hahaha..

Comparing apple to an apple maaa.. If Thailand can get better safety features in their Mazda 3. Bermaz should consider that as well as another variant maaa.. I'm not saying the new Mazda 3 is not good laa brother..
*
No la bro, sorry if I makes you misund I'm scolding you.. hahaha..

I'm just saying that in the Malaysian market, Mazda 3 is equipped with best safety features already, with the same price tag comparing to other rivals.. ofcoz if all the i-ActivSense are available in our car, that would be perfect then.

Cheers.

actually android auto and apple carplay is not only for convenient, it's part of the safety feature.
as you are can use the voice control like siri or google assistant instead of holding your phone and text while driving.
*
Phone also can use do it without them ma.. Previously there is tweaks for to install Android Auto on MZD. Useless I would say, Google maps is still not that good compare to Waze. Endup I uninstall the android auto, place the phone on the phone holder, use as it.. lagi best...

To text or not to text while driving, it's all up to the driver. Even you have the android auto or carplay, one would still will plays the phone if he / she has the will to do it..

QUOTE(bluesky_1985 @ May 5 2017, 03:29 PM)
actually quite headache to choose also...
*
Honestly, if you're looking for a comfort, spacious ride, just go with the Civic.. The Mazda is only good for people who really appreciates the driving dynamic, the fun to drive. You will hate the tyre noise when speeding, the poorly insulated cabin will just always kena ejek by your passenger if they mean to compare with other car... laugh.gif

And "why your car so small one~" hahaha...

oh by the way, go test drive the new Mazda with GVC.. Given the same course, same condition during test drive at Setia Alam, the difference in handling between the 3 and Civic really blows me away... flex.gif

Yea, you're right.
I never try civic but honestly Mazda 3 is good for 2 person ride or 4. And the trunk is really not that big, 2 big luggage and that's it. Anyhow still love my M3 as it's really fun to drive.

Seriously you can feel the different on G vectoring? Man, wish that I could go and feel it myself.
*
Yes bro. Not that I say Civic is bad, it's still a good handling vehicle. But as I mentioned, given the same course, same condition, same amount of passenger, same speed.. and test the car side by side, you'll feel the difference is so obvious. Even the passenger is affected too.

You won't know when the GVC interfere and kicks in, it's just so smooth when doing cornering.. sad to say, even a newbie also can drive like an experienced driver..

Does it have any issue?

I find out 2015 is 2.0
Worry road tax haha
*
What do you mean 2015 is 2.0? There is only 2.0 variant in Malaysia for the Mazda 3..
Roadtax is not killing you, the insurance, yes. Without NCD, it would be costs you around 3k for the first year. If you have 55% NCD, that will save you alot..

Road Tax wont kill you, and ya for skyactive only 2.0 on Mazda 3.
Compare to road tax, you should be worry about maintenance more, haha.
*
Maintenance giving you problem? Normal service also more or less 200 - 300, depends on what Engine oil you want to use (I mean after warranty, you can do it outside). Standard what..

Battery, yes. Start-Stop battery is a pain and seems it doesn't last long compare with normal battery. Life span macam around 1 year to 1 year 6 months then giving up already. Cost around RM 500.

Tire, 18 inches. There are so many choices out there. Price range starting 350 - 700 also got. Choose yourself.

What else? Brake pad, around 300 ++ for front pads, 200++ for rear pads.

Not get from 2nd hand dealer ?
I read lot review
All also said the Bush giving sound
It can't be solve?

Haha
I saw car list old model got 1.6
Hahaha you say this
I not dare le
Since the maintenance so expensive
*
Regarding the bushes, no comment. Since I got replacement from SC and no more weird noise up to now from the bushes. But some member still face this issue, no idea what happened.

1.6 is previous gen, doesn't have skyactiv. Unless what you aiming is the previous gen, then I have no idea what could be the maintenance cost..

Just browsing through the pages here and the Civic thread. There doesn't seem to be many problems with this car unlike the Civic.

But to those asking what tech the Civic has over M3, I'll list them below. Not really tech but more like features.

Turbo engine, remote start, walk away lock, LCD meter, dual zone AC, rear AC vents, voice recognition / car play, multi angle camera.

This thread macam silent hill saje.. LOL.. Owners dont even bother to complain.. laugh.gif

Any better recommendation?

I dont like such sounds...thought my kelisa 02 manual....NVH not good but so far no funny sounds except for shock absorbers needed break in period...after 6 months sound no more...seldom drive..1000 km per month..
*
Balik SC claimed the parts. Bump stopper (normally for kluk kluk noise), ngek ngek is lower arm bush. Just tell them you have such noise then they know what to be replace.

Hi WKC,

From number plate I think its maybe 15 years old plate...so I presumed you are a person of matured mind..driving a C segment car..answering on behalf of a Mazda rep from sg besi...

rclxub.gif Just baffles me...you are promoting a brand or representing a brand selling the vehicles thus knowing the plus and minus points (inclusive of corrective action taken) is to be expected from any person looking to buy a product.

Example, I promote Amway but couldn't tell you the common problems and rectifications.

When ask about great service advisor...Mazda sales rep ask customer how to define...great...must be an honorary sales advisor.  rclxms.gif  Must be a joke...

Many thanks for the advice given (though not sure the hero mentality)...answering on behalf of a sales advisor that should know the product well and rectifications required.

These forum is about feedback and rectification...though sad ...only a person not from mazda answering on behalf of mazda sales advisor. Unless of course you are his boss from the company.

M3 is a great car for driving experience...no doubt...2017 don't have beta testers yet...
*
If you use the search function here, you could get any information you want. SA is not active here. Not just Mazda, you can go other thread and see too.. not many SA is promoting sales in a car club thread.

Why not head to the garage sales forum? Use the search function, I believe there are tons of them (Mazda SA) has their contact number there. Mind you, Mazda has always been stingy on discount and freebies. Huge discount and lots of freebies, is not their style.

Great rectifications and advice you got there and I really appreciate it...sad is the sales advisor..it takes another person to answer on his behalf...

Unless u work in Mazda too... brows.gif

Mazda sales gallery SA acknowledge problem 1,2, and 4.

The main problem is cars are mass produced based on parameters of quality control...its doesn't guarantee defect free...key here is mass produce and production parameters conformity.

Just some minor thing to iron out..before to pay dp...loan all approve..

cheers mate...

Those are common issue across the new Skyactiv model. Even the 2 and 6 also face the same issue. However, some cases are solved after 1 time part replacement, while some are not. Most of us (the owner or before being an owner), and who is a lowyat forumer, is well aware of such issue with the car.

Other than all these kluk kluk ngek ngek noise, the car is a fantastic drive. Only downside, the crampy legroom for rear passenger. Mazda, is a selfish car. Hahaha..

bro or sis?
1) Lane keep assist is useful when cruising on highway, not in the town.
2) If everybody think like you then this nation will be in chaos, I hate those ppl who never know how to obey rules. Rules are created to keep the society in order, so obey it lah.
3) I am talking about Radar Cruise Control, in other brand they call it adaptive cruise control, not the normal auto cruise control.
*
1. Is there any car within RM 130k has this feature? Hmm.. Let see if someone could name them..
2. He was trying to tell there are drivers out there who dont give a fxxx to all these road signs. Not him la...
3. Radar cruise control, it has been debated a few times before. With relation to the driver's attitude, who likes to zig zag in out suddenly, the radar cruise control might creates more issue rather than assisting. No doubt, if it is available, most of us would appreciate the feature too. Unfortunately.. bye.gif

Btw, enjoy your new ride. I have not seen any GVC model around my area yet. rclxm9.gif

I see. The Ioniq and Ranger has it. Ranger, not my cup of tea. Ioniq actually is a good buy, so many active and passive safety features. Just the badge and DCT, hmm..

QUOTE(limcr @ Jun 21 2017, 10:00 PM)
Hi to all Mazda owner

I'm new to this thread, and currently i am interest to purchase a new car. i'm aiming at Mazda 3 GVC high spec & Honda civic turbo. i understand that civic is better in term of rear passenger space, but this is not really bother me that much, since i drive with my partner most of the time. My preference slightly slanted toward the new mazda 3 GVC.

My biggest concern with mazda 3 gvc as i heard from many youtube reviewer is the road noise. I heard that this new facelifted mazda 3 NVH is improved? Can anyone confirm that compare to pre-facelift version.

Can anyone provide me the sound level dB at 120 km/h speed. (Pre-facelift version also TQ  tongue.gif ) and how's new honda civic sound dB at 120km/h also. Thx a lot in advance. thumbup.gif

1 last question, can i improve the NVH of mazda 3 by purchasing a comfort tire? or is there any after market sound insulation modification? will this void my warrantly by installing additional sound insulation?

Sorry for all this noob question.
*
NVH and road noise, this is very subjective to individual. When I say it's ok, but you might feel it is noisy. As mentioned by Ginny88, best is test drive the car at your daily route. Compare both car side by side, end to end.

The original TOYO tires, are really noisy as hell. LOL.. But as you said, most of the time only you and your partner only, wouldn't be a concern then. Personally I found the road noise is on the loud side from rear passenger section. The driver and front passenger, is less affected. Though, I still rate the noise on the high side when compare to other same segment rivals.

Bear in mind, Mazda 3 uses 18" and thus thinner tire profile. Definitely it will create more noise. And, honestly, our car NVH is real bad.. Even my bro's persona also better, but Persona is using 15" and 55 profile tires, so that might contributed to less road noise and tires already absorbs and filter it.

Guys, I wanna ask what is the price of secondhand 2010 mazda 6 2.5 s-vt. Its just cost around RM55k~65k in Mudah.  blink.gif
Is it a legit price range or it is an indicator of faulty secondhand car?
Sorry ya, since there is no LYN Mazda 6 owners thread, so i just can tumpang this thread  sweat.gif  sweat.gif
*
If you check around the ads and all of them are placed around the similar pricing, then it's legit. If you found one that is so cheap at unbelievable pricing, avoid at all costs. Cheaper, but might be full of issues. Best is get a trustable mechanic, or request to send the car back to Mazda SC for a checking.

And dont forget, Mazda is not a strong brand in Malaysia, hence lower value for their used car.

===========================================================

Below just my opinion why high displacement (above 2.0) used car and D segment is cheaper.

First, roadtax is a killer. Though the price of vehicle is cheap, but imagine your annual running cost could be double of the 2.0 litres vehicle. Spare parts, service and maintenance, wear and tear parts, petrol and etc.. parts itself can be cheap if you know where to source it. But still more expensive when compare to other segments.

2nd, workshop. Not many workshop is skillful and knowledgeable enough to repair the car, except those so called specialist. So be ready to fork out $$$.

Happy hunting for new ride..

There is no center speaker for Mazda 3. It's for BOSE sound system.
The side cover, it's the tweeter.
