I wonder, the 2017 Mazda 3 GVC also don't have auto door lock right?
Like door lock when pressing brake pedal or speed sensing auto door lock?

Don't think have such regulation coz the new civic come with auto lock..

civic's brake hold features is really useful during traffic jam in the city...wondering why mazda 3 don't have this..

My previous car got the door lock and open button at the center console, it's very convenient be it for driver or passenger, when driver went down car, passenger can lock it immediately also for safety but M3 Malaysia don't have this button. Noticed there is this button for overseas M3.

So without this button I can only rely on the switch at the door?

GVC don't have auto hold, only EPB (Electronic Parking Brake).
maybe due to the i-stop function? once you press on brake to stop, after few seconds engine will cut off, once you release the brake pedal, engine will start again in less than a second.

for auto hold, once you press on brake and release it will hold, so I am not sure if M3 equip with auto hold, how does this 2 system work together?

Is it normal that the car will rev a bit by itself during cold start? Engine sound a but loud when I start the car in the morning.

First tiny issue, a bit of rattling noise, probably gap moving sound from dashboard.

Imagine if someone behind u fall as sleep when driving, but the lane assist trigger the steering and wake them up, then it will reduce 1 accident cases , and it not fun where other human mistake and hitting u, u have go thru the polis report here and there , wasting alot of time

What if human mistake and take 1 of ur family life, argg i really wish those feature can be standard for all car in future

Been driving this babe for almost a week now, absolutely loving it,

What I like:
i) Vroom Vroom, really packs a lot of power
ii) Butter smooth handling
iii) Paddle Shift!
iv)    the car is just so sexy
v) Sound system, so good.....

What I don't:
i) Tyre Noise, really quite noisy on the road
ii) Rear Seat not as comfortable
iii)    first time driving C-Segment, its... big!

Do you guys know whether there is anywhere that sells magnetic customize sunshade for the M3? Something like the ninja shades.

Actually yes. Lots of people get stuck in the misconception that batteries can only last 1.5-2 years, but actually can last almost double the time, even for normal non premium batteries.

If you have more than 1 car, and you can avoid 1 cycle of battery change, you get back your return through savings within 2 years. The more cars you have in the household, the faster the return. Just get a proper unit like Ctek/Bosch with electronic processors and cut off controls, not those unbranded/OEM desulfator that you can find on the internet cheap.

I'm still on the OEM battery, approaching 20 months.

When this unit dies, i'm changing it to AGM batteries for peace of mind, hopefully till the 10th year of car ownership.

if you managed to get a lemon car, do share with us your experience, because we only have the common issue like lower arm bush sound, and premature battery failure, some of us got dashboard rattling sound randomly

The road noise is really super noisy, can barely hear what the rear passenger is talking about.
What is the best solution to this?

My car's istop battery has malfunctioned for two months now and I'm still driving it. Touch wood still ok can start up etc. Can someone remind me if I can still get a battery change from Mazda FOC if I've had my car for more than a year? I read somewhere you can change the battery once but don't remember if there was a time limit. If not, what battery should I change, where and how much?

Anyway I suspect my car's battery effed up because I let it sit too long without starting the car coz I was away for 6 weeks. I asked my cousin to start it but she didn't so.. oh well.

Last thing, does anyone's steering wheel vibrate noticeably while braking/slowing down around 80-90 mph? I don't remember if it used to do that before, so I am not sure if this is normal or if I should bring it up the next time I service my car. Thanks for the help!

I'm new to this thread, and currently i am interest to purchase a new car. i'm aiming at Mazda 3 GVC high spec & Honda civic turbo. i understand that civic is better in term of rear passenger space, but this is not really bother me that much, since i drive with my partner most of the time. My preference slightly slanted toward the new mazda 3 GVC.

My biggest concern with mazda 3 gvc as i heard from many youtube reviewer is the road noise. I heard that this new facelifted mazda 3 NVH is improved? Can anyone confirm that compare to pre-facelift version.

Can anyone provide me the sound level dB at 120 km/h speed. (Pre-facelift version also TQ  ) and how's new honda civic sound dB at 120km/h also. Thx a lot in advance.

1 last question, can i improve the NVH of mazda 3 by purchasing a comfort tire? or is there any after market sound insulation modification? will this void my warrantly by installing additional sound insulation?

5k++ for the door, front floor and the boots, but i got special price. Look for the Manager, Desmond R for the huge discount and custom ur needs. Mention my name, Ridzwan then he will know. Yeah, it's pricey but it's worth especially for the door insulation. Honestly it will put some weight to ur car + - 5kg.

Are you referring to the GVC model or the HCCI engine?

The GVC model is already released months ago. For the HCCI engine I expect no earlier than 2020 as it will only be launched elsewhere in 2019.
