QUOTE(linkinstreet @ May 27 2007, 10:06 PM) Gonna watch this again on RTM tonight at 1.00am ya, i heard it too.... writing e-mail to complaint to astro again nowthe commentators are crappy. "That's Heidfield in front of Raikkonen!" - It was Alex Wurz "Kubica must have a puncture as his lap has slowed down considerbly" - he was the third fastest car on the track behind the mclaren a lap after... And the stupidest of all, after the second stop "Lewis is catching Fernando Alonso, and the game is on!" - McLaren drivers never race each other after the last pit stop to avoid accident and to preserve engine. The game had already ended there and then raise the subscription fees but still give us cacat F1 commentators, rtm standard |

now we know why alonso won & not lewis
ron side alonso more http://www.f1-live.com/f1/en/headlines/new...528104723.shtml Dennis defensive in new 'team order' storm ''I am the number two driver'' - Hamilton QUOTE Team order controversy returned to the Formula One paddock on Sunday evening when Ron Dennis was accused by the British media of illegally preventing former championship leader Lewis Hamilton from challenging his McLaren teammate Fernando Alonso in Monaco. The most memorable such hullabaloo was in 2002, when Ferrari's Rubens Barrichello pulled over for Michael Schumacher within sight of the Austrian GP chequer. Dennis, though, was at the centre of a similar storm in 1998, when David Coulthard deferred to Mika Hakkinen in Melbourne. In Monaco, the F1 circus was unhappy to learn that Hamilton had to follow the lead of his world champion teammate after the first pit stop, having qualified on a heavier fuel load than pole sitter Alonso - and the saga was spurred on by the 22-year-old's visible disappointment on the podium and in the post-race press conference. "I've got number two on my car. I am the number two driver," Hamilton said bluntly. Team orders that manipulate the result of a race are forbidden by the FIA, but mere team strategies are less frowned-upon. Dennis, the Woking based team's chairman and principal, made no apologies for protecting the McLaren one-two despite admitting to some disappointment. "I don't like to slow drivers down, I don't like them to be frustrated but it is the way you have to win the Monaco Grand Prix," he said. Dennis insisted to reporters that the situation was a 'one off', created by the unforgiving Monaco barriers and also McLaren's performance advantage over their nearest competitor here. He said: "We don't have team orders - we had a strategy to win this race. "There will be places where they will be absolutely free to race, but this isn't one of them." lets see if this issue drag on to canada, lets see by then what will happen
alonso and lewis surely will be pushing to the max to show who is actually faster and skillful & who deserve to be the number one drive at mclaren while maybe we can see kimi bounce back as well to show to the team that he can beat massa & be the number 1 driver at ferrari bmw is at third at the moment in the constructors championship, dun think kubica & heidfeld having any big fight over there, hope this black horse team can spring a few surprises & spoil mclaren & ferrari party, haha, that would be fun renault with fisi definitely look more competitive this week, heikki is still a much need to improve rookie honda getting better as well, too bad they aren't able to score any points at monaco, after the 1st round of pit stops they look less competitive, maybe some bad settings on the car or bad pit stops strategy... |

QUOTE(edwin3210 @ May 29 2007, 12:14 AM) well, i believe it will be a competitive race. with 4 possible winners, i bet lewis will have its first race to win. if kimi continue to be unlucky, massa will have chances to win, else kimi will have higher chance to win. and dont forget about alonso, as well. alonso biggest challenger will be his own teamate, not from ferrari dun so fast count out ferrari or anyonemclaren seems to have reliable cars now, but for how long? kimi having bad luck since australia, but for how long? now it depends on what the FIA will do, punish mclaren, deduct points? ban them? fined? no one knows yet, everyone just know that the FIA are definitely crazy with their new laws & regulations, forcing all teams to obey them if lets say suddenly the FIA deduct alonso points, what will happen? alonso is well famous with his mouth already lewis is a smart guy with excellent driving skills, but the question is does Ron want lewis to be the next champion or alonso? same situation in ferrari, the team paid so many money to get kimi over and kimi salary is well higher than massa, so what? massa have shown he can score more points than kimi & out qualified him... massa also want to be the number 1 driver, if that really happen i dun think kimi will have the motivation to drive & fight anymore for me its still early season, anything still can happen, maybe the honda situation can haunt any team also, during winter testing honda made tones of statement on the newspapers saying like their car is fast.... bla bla bla, when race, haha.... race are not won on newspapers.... 1 week++ more to go & lets see whose cars are the best... |
