I doubt most of the local retailers will do it, typically they'll force the buyer to pay for their own mistake of putting a lower price for pre-order

Unless it's from official stores like Nintendo Retail Store, which unfortunate we have nil in MY, the only official store that selling official consoles are Sony Centers
These are the stores that definitely will honor the pre-order price, unless there are T&C fine print stating the price are subject to change during pre-order.

Shops like GH should own up to their mistake of putting a lower price if there's no written T&C on the final price are subject to change.

means someone has reported to 11street, and they are investigating the issues now

Did received the same call from them, but I refused to budge, they are unlikely to issue a email for the details as well, as it can be used as a proof of them "soliciting" more money outside the platform which is a serious offence in the rulebook of 11street, If they just called, there's no proof
I think they are using the tactics of hoping some will pay up, and some will cancel the order, and in return they should be able to recoup back the losses from those cancelled order.

Anyway, update on my case, I still refused to top up for my NES classic, lodge a complaint with 11street since last week, after multiple followups with them till I reach their CS manager, GH still refused to honor the pre-order price even 11street request them to do so, so 11street will cancel my order and get my money back with some RM25 coupon as compensation.

Even if I top up the money requested by GH is considered cheaper than outside market price, but I still refused to do so, I rather pay more buying from impulse than buying it cheaper from this dishonest seller, Game Hypermart.

We should let the other gamers know about this shitty game shop.

anyway, I'll be sharing my bad experience with a few game groups to warn them about this game hypermart

the hype is kinda over and it's replace by the Switch hype now

basically local price are all expensive scalper price as it's still a worldwide shortage

and so, being typical Nintendo, many was shocked at their decision to pull the handbrake on the production of the wildly popular NES Classic Mini and Famicom Classic Mini

but their reason of not competing with their own Switch is kinda baffles me
both are totally different platform, targeting different users

I suspect they cancelling it is more to do with piracy

anyway, we can expect the next few final batch of shipment and the current stock's price to be inflated significantly, you might have to pay up to 1K for a unit once it's officially stopped production.

Ninty's stop production order caused the price to soar sky high.
I was lucky to grab one Famicom Mini in HK for RM374 on the next morning of the announcement by Ninty, before the actual news breaks on the streets
else I might be paying double for that also.
