KUALA LUMPUR: All people have their ups and downs. So does a house.

This latest concept with all the furniture and furnishings placed upside down is located at the Kuala Lumpur Tower.

Called the Kuala Lumpur Upside Down House, it was opened to the public early last month and is said to be the tallest upside down house in the country.

Its marketing manager Datuk Anuar A. Rahman said the premise was a medium sized English cottage made of 80% steel while the rest was of wood.

“Just like a real house, it has bedrooms, kitchen, living room and bathrooms.

“Construction is complicated since every inch needs to be installed carefully as everything is upside down such as the dining table, beds and decoration,” he said.

The double-storey house with a height of 6.1m and an area of 2,000sq-ft took three months to complete.

Anuar said the daily number of visitors has reached more than 400 people, comprising domestic and foreign tourists.

“Visitors are free to record videos or images in this house. If you use the right technique, an image or a video will show as if you are walking on the ceiling,” he said.

He added that plans were in the pipeline to build an upside down flower garden around the house as an additional attraction, which was expected to be completed later this year.

“I hope that the Kuala Lumpur Upside Down House and the flower garden will become new attractions for city folks and foreign tourists,” he said. — Bernama

Tell that to furniture shops, don't know why they forbid pipol to take photos when it is very common we need the photos so that we can imagine how it can it in our rooms.

Yet at ikea we can take photos like picnic.
