Naw, you guys don't get the concept, ISOs are back up games. People play backup games to either save battery, or don't have to carry with them tonnes of UMDs(i personally have many UMDs and i ISO them)
So as long as you own a LEGAL copy of the game, its isn't ILLEGAL to play ISOs or CSOs.
It is only when they ask "where do i d........d (insert game name here)" then its illegal.
And so I think it is perfectly fine to answer his question how to convert ISO to CSO because CSO is merely a "compressed" form of ISO.
Now, assuming you own a LEGAL copy of the game. Google for UMDgen. Its a GUI program.

Owh and for my specs, I'm running fw3.51 M33-7. My favourite homebrews are:
PepViewer(for manga needs)
PMP player(for video needs)
Pspgo(when i have nothing to do)
psptetris(same as the above)
PspR-animeMod(dance revolution with anime themes)

And several other applications you probably wouldn't wanna know hahaah

Mod, feel free to edit my post if deemed inapropriate. I believe im right though

hi there. any homebrew which works like winamp or itunes? i want to listen to my own playlist music while playing certain games...
And another question is.... is there a better way to watch movie using psp other than converting them using psp video 9? i wan to watch movie with dvd quality, perfect resolution for the entire widescreen.
*
Yes there is a plugin that enables you to do so, i just cant get it off my head now, rushing to school >_<
Ill post it again when i come back from school haha

Try to convert it with 3GP_Converter (3GP is just the name). I think it is better than PSPvideo9. Try google "3GP converter for PSP" because it need some setting for PSP format. I've yet to try XviD4PSP.

Personally i prefer XviD4PSP. Im using it myself. Convert it to PMP format and play with PMPplayer for the best results ^^

Heres the link for the latest PMPlayer Advance. I recommend XviD4PSP encoder to go with this one:
PPA

If your PMPlayer lags its most probably because you're using an older version of it. OR you're movie is reaaaly big.
oh, and someone pm-ed me on where to put the pmp files, put it here:
MSROOT:\PSP\VIDEO\yourvideoname.pmp

Although, if you're using the latest XviD4PSP, it should be able to automatically transfer the file for you.

Also, those who wants to play custom mp3s in-game, use this plugin prx:
IRshell mp3

Download the plugin and put it under:
MSROOT:\seplugins\irshellmp3.prx

Then remember to enable it in the recovery menu for it to work ^^
I've not tried Irshell mp3 myself, but my friend is using it and it works fine. i prefer slotting another MS into my W850i and listening to my mp3s there ahahaha

Yeah, enjoy customizing your PSP!! ^^

PS: i forgot to include one more reaaallly important app: the BookR xD

The XviD4PSP converting process taking tooooo looong. How to make it fast? I'm already using 1 pass. I'm use to 3GP_Converter....not this looooong. One thing i like is i able to convert the video together with subtitle (*.srt) but converting 1hr30min movie taking 3hr+ to complete? Haiyaaa....

you have to play around with the settings. The less quality, the faster encoding takes. By default it shouldve been set to the highest quality. Plus, you need a of RAM haha
I'd agree its still a bit slow despite the nice interface and easy usage, with plenty of features.

Hi guys,
I'm still considering to get a PSP. I would like to do development on the PSP.

First of all, what kind of firmware and motherboard should I get?

How does brick happen? Does it happen only when flashing the PSP firmware fails or it could even happen with some homebrews? (I don't want to suddenly brick my PSP when I'm testing out some codes)

Are there any SDK for the PSP which comes with an emulator of some sort?
*
what kind of development are we talking about? are you planning on writing homebrew? If so, i suggest you go to maxconsole.net. I know little about codes and development myself. Would love to learn, but dunno where to learn @_@ Mind if you teach me a move or two? much appreciated lol.
you can get any firmware psp, then upgrade it to custom firmware by yourself.
Brick happens only when you are dealing with flash0 of the psp. Depending on the homebrew you are planning to write. If you are writing normal application running homebrews(games, simple applications, networks) then you can be assured there are no risks of bricking.
However, if you're coding homebrews that writes on flash0(ie. customizing xmb, bootsounds, or anything that has to do with the firmware and the defaults of the psp) then you should be more careful.

Again, check maxconsole for SDKs, i used to have one but deleted it cause i didnt know how to use it hahaha

Because i am selling thos original firmware
i ask my supplier can help me change to custom firmware or not
he said need to charge RM50...
so wonder can do it by ourself or not....
what kind of risk??
and how to reduce the risk??

LOL, you got scammed dude. You should learn more about your product before you plan to sell it.
There is really ALMOST NO risk in flashing custom firmware. Ive done it zillion times before myself, on my machine, my friends psp, my friend's friend psp etc. etc.
All done without a sweat. First, you gotta know how to upgrade the firmwares(ALWAYS read the readme and get the latest OFFICIAL firmware). When you're doing it, just make sure the battery is ABOVE 75%(of course preferably 100%)

Thats all, just press X and everything will start flashing by itself and... voila! custom firmware psp. lol

Of course, if you really need help, i can do it for you. Of course, at a cheaper price than what your supplier is charging you haha. Its kinda, side-income lol Interested? pm me xD Im located in subang incase you really wanna know lol
