P/s: It seems that nobody had the same problem as mine. I guess it's my MSPD. sad.gif

It happened to me only once. Deleted a file, but the file still stays in explorer. And coincidentally i also forgot to back up my save games when i formatted. This was on my Sandisk 2GB MSPD.

I'm having trouble with CWCheat 0.1.6 rev I and FF IX. The game ID is different in cwcheat (SLUS_01296) vs SLUS_01251 (the ID is for Disc 1, but I'm on Disc 3). (You need to make the Game IDs the same for savegames + multiple disc games to work correct ? ).

So basically, if i edit cwcheatpops.db and put in all the FF IX codes, i can't bring up the cwcheat menu. Changing the game ID doesn't work too. What to do ar ?

Er guys, any idea on my cwcheat problem ?
If i can load the cwcheat menu, no cheats appear in the select cheats menu
If i change the game id in cwcheatpops.db to match the chwcheat id, can't load the cwcheat menu.

Or perhaps, better yet, anyody mind to share a working ff ix cwcheatpops.db here ?

Fulat:

There should be 2 .pbp files in the recovery folder

1. The eboot.pbp - that's the actual flasher from Dark Alex
2. The 1.5 eboot - renamed as update.pbp (if i remember correctly)

Hie .. i'm currently on 3.10-OE-A' ... can i know what homebrew software i should use to play PSX games? I'm interested in playing FF-7 again. Thanks for help
*
It's (the PSX emulator) already in the firmware. Just convert yous PS1 CDs using the popstation utility (or the many graphical interfaces available), and put the converted eboots in the PSP/GAME folder. It will then show up under the GAME/Memory Stick menu in the XMB.
All this and more can be found in the 3.10 OE-A' readme.

To cheatmaster users:

I've copied the .prx to seplugins, edited the pops.txt, enabled the plug-in in the recovery module (along with plain modules), and copied he cheatmaster folder to the root of the mem stick, buttttt, no menu pops out when i press the Note button. Anything i'm doing wrong ?

Thanks, managed to get it running, seems i have to copy the dh folder as well (Doh!).
Although now, my noob hacks don't seem to work. I tried inputting cwcheat codes into the address table (changing the first few bits to 0x000) but can't get the codes to work.

Anyone got FFIX cheatmaster codes ? Thx !

to Fulat: how's the PSP ? unbrick edi ?

Though below is not the same situation as yours, but it does deal with corrupt 1.50 files, you might want to give this a try:

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Hope this helps.

hi dude,
i m new to psp.
currently have a psp with firmware 2.71.
i planned to do a firmware upgrade to it.
aim for custom firmware.
which one is the better one out there?
read from some article, 2.71 SE-C is good, izzit true?
will i spoil my psp for upgrading?
mind to tell me how to do the upgrade also?
*
The latest custom firmware is 3.10 oe-A'. (download from PSPupdates
All the instructions are in the installer readme. Read, read again, and then read again. If you're not sure, ask here, specifically which part you don't understand. Please don't just ask a general "how do I install it ?".

i got the Dark_Alex's 3.10 OE-A custom firmware which is 0.13MB only. blink.gif

erm, wat it mean by full installation ?

*
First of all, you need to downgrade to 1.5 first, seeing as you're running the official SONY 2.71 firmware. After you've downgraded to 1.5, come back here if you still don't understand. Be careful, or you could brick/permanently spoil your beloved PSP.

may i ask a noob question? sweat.gif
is it allow to talk bout custom firmware installation here?
*
Sure, it's only custom firmware. We don't talk about running pirated games here.
If you're read and understood the procedures and risks (make sure you know about the TA-082 and TA-086 motherboard issues before proceeding, and obtain the appropriate downgrader), then good luck in dowgrading to 1.5. After that you can procede with flashing your psp to the latest custom firmware.
It's a little tricky, and require a little patience, but once you've got it the first time, the rest will come easy.
