Guys, the latest xmbpackager 0.3 now fixes those confused icons when you flash your customised icons into your PSP.
Fixed the fw 3.03 icons: RSS Channel Settings, Camera, Certificate Utility, Remote Play and Online Instruction Manuals. |

QUOTE(MR.Shiney @ Jan 18 2007, 08:28 PM) lolz, no wallpaper can be animated wor. blur? thats because Yes, you can put a 480 x 272 wallpaper in the f0 of Devhook, but when you start moving around on the xmb, you will see white squares that used to be your icons. At 300 x 170 (i think), also causes problems with icon colours.they flash the pic into their psp. flashing pics into the psp only supports 64xsumthing.. in size. which is very2 small. in devhook on the other hand. no limit |

I installed VSH FTPD Module 01 for 3.03 and put the functionality in 'Network Update'. Yet to try it out. Then I moved my Shutdown mod to the Location Free spot. Changed the corresponding texts.
![]() ![]() _____________________________________________________________ Another topic: I got a question about WLan gaming at 333Mhz. I read that a 2.0 wlan.prx must be flashed into the PSP in order to play network games at 333Mhz. I've read that it works on 2.71SE, but what about 3.03OE-B? Can't seem to google for someone who succeeded in this. Anyone here can help? This post has been edited by Bernard Yeo: Jan 21 2007, 01:22 AM |

QUOTE(MR.Shiney @ Jan 21 2007, 11:08 AM) I'm using a Capdase Soft Jacket, so it feels cool all the time! Gameplay is noticeably smoother for action games at 333Mhz, especially when there are many things happening on screen at the same time. No lag or jerky video, so you can pwn your friends! BTW, I finally found the solution and it works on my 3.03OE-B. It's a long going discussion on overheating, etc.
Quote from Wikipedia: "During the 2005 GDC, Sony revealed that it had capped the PlayStation Portable's CPU clock speed at 222 MHz for licensed software. Its reasons for doing so are unknown, but are the subject of some speculation. Various homebrew tools enable users to operate at 333 MHz, generally leading to a higher framerate at the expense of battery life." 333Mhz is its maximum designed speed so it's not really overclocking. In addition, I've been clocking mine at 333Mhz ever since 2.71SE, like lots of maxconsole.net forumers without any problems. Logic would lead one to believe that it should be alright. |

Anyone still interested in modding their PSP with custom gameboots, cintros, fonts, etc? I just came across a Halo Theme. Very complete. Here's everything about it. Don't forget to check out the video!

QUOTE(King83 @ Jan 22 2007, 10:25 AM) If you mean DevHook, I told you DevHook 0.52 is extremely stable. And what's 3.03OE-C?Maybe you don't see any homebrew you like. Try one of those modifiers instead. I like the Reboot/shutdown mod that replaces the empty Location-Free TV. Also try out the FTP Daemon Mod, which by default will overwrite your Network Updates function. Bye Bye USB Cable! Of course, installing mods require a little flashing to the flash0. But there's a new PSP Filer 2.7 out to help you. |

QUOTE(tycheah_7 @ Jan 22 2007, 11:23 AM) how can i have the FTP at the location Free TV menu ? I have my reboot/off mod at "network update" now... Rename the ftpd mod's filename to lftv_plugin.prx. That's what I read at maxconsole. If you're concerned with semi-bricking, there's Recovery.Btw, if those too scared to flash their psp, the prx can also be put into plugin if you're using custom firmware that is... |

QUOTE(tycheah_7 @ Jan 22 2007, 11:45 AM) yeah, i read that too.... but doesnt seem to work with the flasher they provide... Maybe i'll try using XFlash Of course the supplied flasher wouldn't work. It'll be looking for update_plugin.prx, not lftv_plugin.prx. I'm don't think x-flash has a function to flash lftv_plugin.prx. Try PSP Filer instead.QUOTE(tycheah_7 @ Jan 22 2007, 11:45 AM) If the plugin is enabled in from the Recovery menu, then right from the start you'll not be able to access the video menu. That would suck.QUOTE(snipersnake @ Jan 22 2007, 12:22 PM) come thingking of it, now we have 3.02 SE, loads every umd and what not...then devhook is forrrrrrrrrrrr........????????? For experimenting some....things? With the exception of flashing prxs,topmenu_plugin can be replaced, some games that may face incompatibility with 3.0X custom firmware could be played in DevHook 0.52. If you have a Location-Free TV console, you can use DevHook 0.52 to run it. Speaking of Location-Free TV, Dark_Alex deleted the files for it to save space on the flash. I replaced a huge 1mb font called gb3s1518.bwfon in the flash with the default one, making some space. So I wonder if Location-Free TV can be put back. QUOTE(amir_links @ Jan 22 2007, 03:04 PM) guys,i bought my PSP yesterday (Sunday,21/01/07,6.45pm). during the negotiation process, i ask about the differences between latest version and updated version. mine is 3.0x (something, forget the exact version). the sales person said, the PSP can be affected by viruses if u surf not securely.is it true? he told me that, once get virused,ur PSP can't be used anymore.there will be software problem.is it true?let say i want to transfer video n mp3 from my PC to the mspd, let say there is virus in my PC,is it safe for transferring?have u guys faced this viruses problem? btw, what is the common problem of the PSP? You won't get the virus from internet surfing. Apparently the virus is embedded in a downgrading software. So don't download from untrusted sources or websites. Stick to maxconsole.net or psp-hacks.thank u guys.or i might say, SIFUs!! PC viruses cannot affect PSPs, because it cannot execute their code. Common problems for PSP includes easily scratchable screen, easily broken when dropped, and lack of sleep for some people. Of the 3 problems, only the last one cannot be solved easily. |

QUOTE(King83 @ Jan 22 2007, 04:25 PM) this dude is paranoid... Actually there's only one PSP virus, so it's not even rare; it's unique. And I wouldn't even call it a virus since you have to go to the photo viewer and open it.PSP viruses are VERY rare. it's like.... more hackers prefer to create viruses for windows. Why not other OS? Becos majority people are using windows. PSP community is very small... no one would really waste time writing one. I can see why people are writing viruses for other platforms because there are less security features built into them. In this case, what antivirus program is available on the PSP? For sure they will have 100% success rate in screwing up someone's system. Edit: This is getting off topic. And now for something completely different. I'm happy to report that the Vsh Ftpd Module 01 works. I was able to access my PSP's memory stick through my PC's FTP client. This post has been edited by Bernard Yeo: Jan 22 2007, 06:55 PM |

Happy to report that Vsh Ftpd Module also works.
I think PSP Filer is useful if you don't have a PC. Doesn't take up much space anyhow. My Cintro now requires hex editing to get it working. |
