QUOTE(DaRkSyThE @ Nov 20 2006, 06:23 PM) sorry, im not sure whether anyone has said this, but 965 is capable of hitting a higher fsb? I thought it's suppose to be tat way... considering the price of 975 chipset mobo of equilvalent features(other than overclockability)...and the 975 is better for thighter timings i think, but from what ive read, the 975 beats the 965 is almost all aspects (sorry if there are any typos, this internet kiosk in australia just aint good for typing |

QUOTE(BeastX @ Nov 24 2006, 01:23 PM) Single card.. on DS4 same as yours.. let me know if you can run sli on P965 chipset... what contribute to the score is the cpu score of 5170 single...? tat's a WOAH... Scanart salesman said it doesn't support SLi or Crossfire... it's juz dual graphics which allows u to put more monitors... |

QUOTE(pierreye @ Nov 24 2006, 04:42 PM) To me to get a RM 1000 board to overclock the E6300 doesn't really make sense. Might as well get a E6600 and use P965 to overclock. You get a better proc with more cache. not every1 can afford 1 shot ler... ie. my board is RM680 when i bought it... it's now quad-core ready... so i juz need to resave my money and get quad-core... tat's the point of getting high-end mobo... and many of us are curious of the overclockability of high end stuff... OC low end stuff won get u anywhere... |

QUOTE(MaGicDust @ Nov 25 2006, 09:10 PM) hehe, yah... E6300 OC to >3Ghz not low-end already... considering some people who doesnt oc their cpu, its almost as fast as a x6800 at stock... haha.. I dont consider that as low end I mean compare to X6800 or C2E(kentsfield)... my C2D is the cheapest among Intel Core series d ler...and i always stay in mid-range instead of high end and low end... If low end leh... I mean p4 2.8... FSB 533 and below... my C2D might be high end for u but still not enough to play games like X3: Reunion... my GC summo not really high end... my rig is juz mid-range... and i juz spent RM2700 to get them... high end systems unit should worth RM6500 and above(to me la)... I tried playing COH on everything high also a bit lag... so my rig is not so high end and nothing to brag about... This post has been edited by t3chn0m4nc3r: Nov 27 2006, 11:18 AM |

QUOTE(MaGicDust @ Nov 25 2006, 04:18 AM) Quad core extremely hot wor... Wouldn't recommend quad cores yet. I think you can reach a higher clock speed with a conroe or allendale than kentsfield even though kentsfield got 4 cores as even at stock, kentsfield is already much hotter than a dual core cpu... I think should stay away from 4 cores until games and normal softwares become more threaded... As for now, its better to have a higher clockspeed than more cores in gaming... btw, its much cooler and takes less power too! Unless you are a benchie freak and want the highest score possible or cpu intensive stuffs such as renderings, encodings... i don intend to get Intel's new stuff... prefer mainstream stuff... |

QUOTE(Dead__Man @ Nov 25 2006, 11:30 PM) I'd like to note that the E6300 listed above are not Allendale's, those are still Conroe's that have half their L2 disabled. Allendale's are C2Ds that are natively 2Mb L2. So which is Allendale...http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intel_Core_2#Allendale |

QUOTE(BeastX @ Nov 26 2006, 07:37 AM) Heatsink.. Scynthe Infinity, Temperature as read through "core temp" software, Gigabyte own temperature sensor reading is only 50C at maximum, Heatsink itself still cool at around 25C Intel OEM boards readings are real-time or not...? cuz Intel board reading are always higher... |
