Well..My Friend's C2D load temp with stock cooler is same with the load temp as my C2D with Infinity....(weird)

I've tried everything.....could be the senser problem ?

just went to lowyat. all the P5B-E Plus is version 1.01G. don't know whether it's C1 or C2.

after reading XS, Asus P5B-E Plus all = C2. while Asus P5B-E v1.02 above all = C2. Asus P5B-DLX v1.04 above all = C2. (might not be correct, keep in mind)

ok. some updates. manage 500 fsb but suicide. cause using stock HSF. the temp is insane. apparently i need more juice for my ram than vcore. once i set vdimm to 2.4v then, wala... booted into windows and able to run super pi. but stability is still a question mark. i just want to try out and see this mobo worth it or not. and whether C1 is ok or not.

500 x 7, 1:1, 1.37vcore (bios 1.475, lol), 2.4vdimm, 5-5-5-15

what is the software to test for cpu stability?

mike: ya. it's a suicide run. no orthos. i think my stock heatsink contact on the proc don't have enuff presure. i post it for those who are considering buying P5B-E Plus in lowyat which is very possibly C1 chip. i never ever post my benchmark. paiseh. so it's proven this board is kinda on par with P5B-DLX in terms of OC la. if really don't want to gamble, try find P5B-DLX with rev 1.04g, very likely to be C2 or P5B-E with rev 1.02g and above.

my fren...u thk its a worth upgrade from E6300 to E6400?? both stil same 2mb cache allendale only one is higher multiplier wic brings higher speed
y not straight to 4mb cache? E6600  u can gain more peformance compare wif another allendale

look at the voltage and FSB

at stock out of the box (f6 bios), didn't touch anything in the bios..

this is what i got
RIght now.. testing vcore @ 1.2175 (not so sure, its one level below 1.25), 400 x 7.. In cpu-z its 1.2v (during orthos)

Idle was around 53c
Load: orthos cpu stress 63c (just started 10 minutes ago)

airconditioned room.

anyway, reapplying AS5 to my intel heatsink made my temprature worst.. or probably it needs a few days to 'sink' in. I hope its the latter.

Its idling at 55c and full load at 68c in an air conditioned room. Kinda worried already.

i'm using DS3 rev 2.0 if not mistaken 

OMG! one by one ppl burn their DS3..scary lar...now makes me think twice to upgrade to F9 bios 
anyone uses F9 bios liao? hows the oc results? i expect it to be the best since it support higher FSB

i planning to buy this OCZ PC2-6400 SOE Urban Elite 2x1GB, Micron D9GMH from pcmoddingmy from his sales http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/394988 but need a good overclocker board for this rams and my E6600(ES version brought from nakata101) and can archive ddr2 1000 at CL4 and also on 1T settting if possible but after reading some review that are 2 board have a decent price and quite good overclock not like overkill price are Asus P5B Deluxe, p5b-e plus and AW9D MAX  so which is more suitable for me and im using scythe ninja heatsinks

looking at p00kit's oc results, i was inspired to find out the upper limit of my e6300. But sadly, i kinda hit the wall somewhere before 470 fsb

At 470fsb, i could load windows @ stock vcore, and even run the superPI 1m but it would only last for like 5 seconds in orthos! argghhh.. i've even tried to pump the vcore to 1.4v but still no go.. using ds3 with kvr 667 1 gb (single).
i've tried running the ram at 480 mhz using divider 4:5 (or 5:4) and it works well, which should mean that the ram should work at 470 fsb or is it?

Could it be my psu holding me back? Im using Acbel 450w. The 12v rails looks okay to me..
