oh ya forgot about the ram timing.

it is 5-5-5-15 at first.

5-7-7-18 put some stability when playing dota, but only hold up for 40 minutes then my system reboots.

do mean MCH & FSB is +0.1v only?

im using F10 right now, or should i go back to F8? smile.gif

so what's the prob?

urs is a C4 hynix?
5-5-5-15 shd be no problem running @ ddr800 i believe...
y not u try this setting...

vcore=1.325v (stock)
fsb and mch = +0.1v
vdimm = +0.2v
timing = 5-4-4-12
*
nope. mine is XMS5402v8.1 PROMOS chip (confirmed from Corsair's RAMGUY)

i wish i could get that hynix. rolleyes.gif

do u think that reverting back to F8 will improve stability and lower voltage?

i will try..

yeah. with my current D9GKX (from sHawTY thumbup.gif ), i got 3.2ghz, DDR916@ 4-4-4-10 at 2.1v, orthos stable. the ram capable of clocking over 1ghz @ 4-4-4-10 too... brows.gif

here's some results of Pi performance:

hmm at 3.2Hz, it was 1.38v, but not very stable, i played hours of dota and it got hanged. so i thought 1.4v would be doing just fine smile.gif

Guys... having a hard time overclocking my C2D... First off, lemme give you info on what I have for my system...

-Intel C2D E6300 proc
-Biostar Tforce 965PT mobo
-512MBx2 Corsair DDR 6400 RAM
-and other stuff...

Now... I've tried everything to make my PC run at least 400FSB... but each time I increase the FSB past 266MHz... my PC cannot boot-up... I've increased the voltage also... My RAM shouldn't be a prob rite...??? Coz it already supports DDR800 rite...??? So what gives...??? Please help me...??? Newbie here... and I would like to at least rum my PC at 2.8GHz... sad.gif

wat voltage u up?the ram u setting manual?ur psu enuf power?u disable important part in bios b4 u OC? flex.gif
*
E6300 can do 2.8GHz with NO voltage increase.

agree with mfcm:

1 - get good PSU to ensure stable voltage across the rails, especially the +12v rail.
2 - Disable unnecessary bios features like NX bit, power saving functions.. etc.
3 - set the ram divider/ram multiplier to 1:1, put at least 2.1v on the ram @DDR800
4 - shoot the fsb. u might need to add some voltage at FSB and MCH when runnin 400 fsb.

good luck.

Well... I'm using an ACBel 400W Intelligent Power with active PFC PSU... I think that should supply enough power rite? As for the other settings, I did run my ram divider/multiplier at 1:1. Never increased the RAM voltage though... along with the FSB and MCH voltage. As for the BIOS features, I will try to do that later in the day... Will keep you guys posted on this...

p/s... I tried increasing to 300MHz FSB... also cannot... PC suddenly reboot with a beeping song... as if the RAM's faulty... cry.gif After reboot, the PC's setting back to normal...
*
normally, 300 fsb sure 100% not prob for C2D. and im thinking it's ur mobo which is holding ur OC back. If u run 1:1, ram sure no prob as 1:1 equals to 300x2 = DDR600 only. Dont forget about the vdimm voltage though.

Good.
Now i'm running my two pieces of GKX @ 4-4-4-10 @ 1GHz at 2.25Volts. smile.gif

Priming now.
It's already 6 hours.

Gonna post the screenshot after done more than 18hours, or maybe after i come back from johor tomorrow night.
That means i'll be priming my pc for 2 days! lol! laugh.gif

After priming, i'll do superPI. smile.gif
And try the 3DMark benchmarking again. happy.gif

Edit:
Guys, is it okay if i were to prime my pc for 2 days straight? hmm.gif
I'm on swiftech watercooling though. smile.gif
*
i'll test my pair too brows.gif for me, 1ghz @ 4-4-4-10 @2.2v is very easy to achieve for GKX though.

but im too lazy to do prime for more than 10 hours lol but so far 13 hours stable for me (it was 2x GKX from u) rclxms.gif but forgot to take screenies. tongue.gif

btw, u on WC sure no prob la. but the ram must take at least a good HS lor..

p/s im thinking of buying AllnGap's ram cooler mod hmm.gif

gtghost...

thats nice voltage there... even i got B2 rev (week 27), i cant seem to achieve like what u just did.

i can only boot into windows @ 3.2ghz, 1.325v (default) but after 1 minute of orthos, it fails. At 3.2ghz i need 1.4v at least though.

Actually I did that benchmark during LanParty. Just OC for fun. Havent really tweak it to the maximum. Hehe.. Yeah, I do think 2.1-2.2vdimm is good enough but I put 2.3vdimm, just to make sure everything go smooth. I HATE RESTART smile.gif
