Apologies, could not get that part. Are you perhaps referring to the 2nd and 3rd best buy and best sell?
*
yes I think that's it. How Does the system queue for our selection

2nd and 3rd best buy and sell does not make any difference whether you get an instantaneous match. You may queue your order when buying or selling at the 2nd or 3rd level but it will not match until the best buy or sell on the top is cleared on either sides. Placing an order in advance, your order may get matched earlier when queuing at the next price. Hope this helps! biggrin.gif

Depends is there any seller want to sell at your buying price. If no, mean have to wait until there is a seller to sell their stock

After open a CDS account, i must apply for either margin or non-margin financing trading?

You have to set it on your own when signing up for the CDS. If your password is forgotten, try calling Maybank Investment Hotline.
After opening a CDS, you can apply for either margin or non-margin financing, it depends entirely up to you. The normal CDS account usually have non-margin financing unless requested.

Hope it helps.

alright, thanks. i guess i will have to call the hotline for the pin.
So i dun need to have margin/non-margin financing account to trade right. I prefer the non-margin method.

You do not need to have the margin facility to finance. If you prefer no leverage at all and want to solely use cash, there is an option for the cash account. nod.gif

Newbie here. Any taiko can clarify :

1. The Best Buy queue means ppl queue to buy at that price or, it's the recommendation of Maybank its Best Buy at xxx?
Vice versa to best sell queue...
2. Off track a bit if anyone of you using klse screener, I also confuse with ask and bid , which one is sell and which one is buy?
3. What's are the order status means ? Confirmed, queue, pending? I send buy order today say same stock, buy at 1.0, and 1.2. BUT only 1.0 is confirmed, 1.2 is pending. Shares goes by the day, the price now is at 1.2 it doesn't match. Until I remove the order and resend again, it matched ... may I know why is that? Rugi oh.....

Anyone know Maybank share margin works?
1. Say I have certain share in direct account with maybank, do I need to change to nominees when I want to use the share margin?
2. Say I got certain stock with maybank now, and can I use it as collateral ?
3. If I use this margin facilities to loan say 50k, if I don't use it does it incur any cost ? Like interest, processing fees, annual fees or something?
4. The reason I ask this is because I plan to prepare extra bullets incase... bearish, want to get some cheap stock...

For no.3, the order you place is only valid for one trading day. Once the market close, all unmatched order will be expired. If you want to maintain the order at your buy price, you can use good til date facility. This way, you can set your order to valid for how many trading days.

Confirmed means your limit order has been received by Exchange and confirmed. Now it's waiting for your order to be matched based on bid price and queue number.

Once your asking price is matched, matched status shall pop up. By this time, your money start to count on T+3.

Pending status might be because you put the effective date of your order not by today. Example, you bid stock A at price RM1.00 today. Then you set the order date tomorrow instead of today. So it will pending to be sent to Exchange until the pre-opening time of trading day tomorrow.

1) Its not Maybank's recommendated price, but rather it is the current market's offering and selling prices. On the best buy, as you mentioned, people key in the order and waits till it gets matches.

2) In simple analogy,
If you key in at best buy to sell - Immediately will get matched to sell as it is market order.

If you key in at best sell to buy - Immediately will get matched to buy as it is market order.

If you key in at best buy to buy - You queue to get the price while waiting for your turn to buy. This can be a best limit buy order.

If you key in at best sell to sell - You queue to get the price while waiting for your turn to sell. This can be a best limit sell order.

Should you key in at any price below or above the best bid and ask respectively, you also go on a waiting list and will not get matched until the below or above levels at cleared.

Number 3 is pretty much explained above, hope it helps. biggrin.gif

1. SMF definitely needs to open a new nominee account
2. Yes
3. Ask Maybank if there is any commitment fee, my latest info is no. Not sure about annual fee.
4. Good luck. Be careful then it is very easy to say want to buy some cheap stock in bear market, but when it comes...
