i'm a newbie in Maybank2u online share trading. Juz topped up my trading account and selected TRUST from M2U, but noticed later from my trading account summary that my Trust Balance is in negative. Would like to know whether is this normal? And what does a +/- represents in this case?

Thanks in advance smile.gif

MBB Non Margin if you are trading online brokerage is 0.42% or Min RM12.

I just opened another trading account - Cash Direct. Brokerage 0.1% or min RM8
(Cash direct acc can apply for IPO)

Non Margin - U get to trade up to 3x Cash value
(if you have 1,000, you can trade up to 3,000)

or if you are holding shares, you can trade up to 2x value of shares.

If its a Nominee acc... bank will do all the running for you... dividends go
through bank.. u pay some small fee plus GST =)

I opened up a cash direct acc because lower brokerage and I don't advise
using margin (investing with the money that you don't have). And also
allow me to subscribe to IPO.

U can call up their investment center.. quite helpful to further explain to u

better don't get nominee account, cannot attend AGM , cannot apply IPO. no real major benefit also, during my time brokerage is 0.42% and minimum rm12

i dunno that previously and using nominee account, now very hard to transfer out the shares. you should go to those invest fair and sometime they'll waive all the fee like CDS opening account fee and etc

By Law or Securities Comission

Direct CDS - the share register under your name

Nominee CDS - the sahre regsier under the Imvestment bank - then sub to your name.

you can find alot at google : DIRECT CDS VS NOMINEE CDS

Nominee can attend AGM - require get to do proxies from IB.

Other benefit is right subscription they can do for you with a fee require; dont do own self; filling form, issue cheq, and manually send the form.

hi guys,

i have been using M2u stock trading platform for quite a while.
I have been debited for some cash amout and the details is MG153197.
if it is dividend, the details should be DIV/INT. and i had check the stock that i had own, none is having some special announcement.
Did anyone know what is this cash amount for? i havent called to maybank to ask yet, because i am oversea right now.
