Anyone having problems with 6% cashback for foreign purchases? I had one insurance purchase through an online assistant and the transaction was not eligible for 6% cash back.

I called up the PBVS customer service officer and the officer said if there is any dispute can call them and appeal. What I can conclude is as long as there's sms OTP generated then it's confirmed online transaction, else it may not be online even if the transaction is performed through internet. But I didn't seem to receive any sms OTP for foreign purchases.

Can't even check the balance of free premium lounge access for the current year, have to check with premium lounge itself.

I did not ask, do online transactions have certain MCC codes? If so then it'd be clear cut case.

The reason I asked about MCC is just to check what they have on record. Thanks for your responses, I suspect my foreign insurance transaction was done "manually" through an officer and that's why no cashback.
My other transaction last week was also a society membership from UK, hopefully it's eligible for cashback.

OK, so can only say OTP ==> definitely online, no OTP not necessarily means not considered online.

What I can't understand is that the PBVS customer service officer could not ascertain that a particular transaction is considered online or not.. perhaps they want to keep it that way so that we may have to swipe more to guarantee the cash back.

Strange, I had a more than RM1K transaction on 17 Oct (after conversion from Sterling Pounds) and posted on 18 Oct but did not receive any cash back, the customer service officer told me they are still processing the 3rd week cash back and asked me to check again tomorrow. rclxub.gif

Just called CS after waiting for the last few days. She told me my payment for a society membership fees is classified as "direct marketing" with MCC 5969 hence not entitled for the cash back promotion.

According to the previous CS it was entitled for the normal 6% cash back but it could be masked out by my other online transactions more than 1k. It's case of hit and miss... sad.gif

Anyone knows whether MYEG transactions performed online are considered online transactions for 6% cashback?
I guess it won't be entitled for the current 5% cash back promotion.

Thanks for your kind sharing. Is the MBB BT under the 0% 12 months with 3% fees waived? I saw my first MBB BT under the promotion had a 3% one time charge and GST. Hopefully I will get the charges credited back in 30 days as advertised.

I am applying a supp. card using the form for my mom. Does the "mother's maiden name" in section 2 refers to my maternal grandmother or my mom herself?
How about the telephone numbers and employment details, are they referring to mine or my mom's? a bit confused.
