QUOTE(lilsunflower @ Jan 5 2017, 07:52 AM) His MBB BT gave him excess credit in his principal CC. So he used that excess credit to offset his supp balances, and the remaining excess credit transferred to CASA. You mean we can transfer the credit balance after BT from MBB to our CASA? That seems too good to be trueHe's not BTing from main to supp, just using excess credit in main to settle supp. |

QUOTE(guy3288 @ Jan 6 2017, 02:50 PM) That is quite good already. wow, rm220k free $$$... PBB did not exclude those reversal/refunds from the weekly CB for calculation. If PBB excluded my refunded 11 St purchase, i should only get CB RM10 instead of that RM25. Yeah end of the month that 6%CB would be affected,if you dont top the reversal/refunds, to a total purchase of RM833.40 You have missed out alot! I have BT overpayment +++, cash taken out ~RM220k, free money! Easy, call CS transfer CR out to supp cards as you can see in my statement. how to transfer the credit balance to our CASA? by calling the CS? |

A general question: for the current 1-million cash back promo, i understand only principal card gets the cash back for qualified supp. card spending. My question is the supp. card (on separate statement) spending combined with that of the principal card to qualify for the rm200, 500 and 1000 cash back thresholds? e.g. in 1 week, principal spending (100)+ supp. spending (100) = 200 hence qualified for Rm10 cash back. Or since neither principal (100 spending) nor supp. (100 spending) meets the rm200 threshold, no promo cash back given?
sorry for the long-winded question and thanks in advance |

QUOTE(pepper_mint2 @ Jan 12 2017, 07:25 AM) when i applied for my supplementary card recently, i send to the same email and i did get an automated reply that the email was received by public bank side. However, when my supplementary card was approved about 2 weeks later, i was not notified and the card was just send to my supplementary card recipient. I received a sms informing the approval of supp. card after the card approval (my supp. card phone number is my number). |

QUOTE(spoon2272 @ Jan 21 2017, 10:19 AM) So we just show them the card and we can enter the lounge?I'm going to Saigon next week and want to try it thanks yes, the lounge staff will swipe your card and generate a receipt for you to keep. you may need to sign/key in a pin just like any other merchant transaction (just that you are not charged as long as within the quota). |

QUOTE(mamamia @ Feb 15 2017, 04:13 PM) did the order status shown "To Receive"? normally after the status change to "To Receive", it will posted to ur TNB within 1-2 days. As i know, Markjs94 is using uob payonline for TNB payment... ya, the status is "to receive", which means I need to click on "order received" once mytnb reflects the payment. If using uob payonline then it's tedious as have to manually key in the account number and error prone.QUOTE(wjchay @ Feb 15 2017, 04:33 PM) 2-3 days, based on my experience. He's probably overloaded due to Monday promo. Just chat him up, he will respond. Anyway, Shopee comes with guarantee, so should be ok. ok, I shall wait for 1 to 2 days. 1st time using shopee so not so sure. thanks This post has been edited by harmonics3: Feb 15 2017, 05:33 PM |

QUOTE(lilsunflower @ Feb 15 2017, 08:21 PM) When he completes payments, he will usually give you a screenshot of the UOB Payonline status. He is very active on chat, so you can try asking him he he has done yours already. ok, finally see the payment reflected in mytnb. he apologized for late payment due to uob payonline rejection. overall good services and thanks for the advice Probably overwhelmed with orders |

QUOTE(labtec @ Nov 15 2016, 09:56 PM) if I use the card to purchase AirAsia ticket for my parent, will they covered by the 1.5 million travel insurance as well? I think I read before that cannot, but not confirm QUOTE(lamode @ Nov 15 2016, 10:37 PM) I have similar question and called up CS and was directed to call Lonpac. The Lonpac officer said supplementary card holder is entitled to the travel insurance if purchasing airticket using the supplementary card. And the coverage is same as principal card holder. This seems to contradict the "card member agreement" which explicitly states the travel insurance is for "principal card member" and his spouse and children. Anyone can confirm this? This post has been edited by harmonics3: Feb 23 2017, 07:42 PM |

QUOTE(wjchay @ Mar 30 2017, 07:29 PM) Of course banks charge higher. We don't always get to use cash overseas. Just to share my experiences: when I rented a car in Sydney last month, the rental company charged me a deposit on 7 Feb and refunded the same amount the next day after I returned the car. The transactions details are as follows:The message is to share how much diff is forex to expect when using pb vs. To me, it's not exorbitant high. I wish I knew the rates for other bank cards vs pbvs. I could be using them instead. Posting Transaction 07 FEB : 07 FEB THRIFTY AUSTRALIA AU : 1,329.16 385.00 AUSTRALIAN DOLLARS 09 FEB : 08 FEB THRIFTY AUSTRALIA AU : 1,283.31CR 385.00 AUSTRALIAN DOLLARS You can see that I lost RM45.85 just over 1 day for same amount of debit and credit!! I think PB charges a commission whether it is debit or credit of foreign currency. So you should avoid using credit card in overseas if you can. PS: Strangely another car rental company also "charged" me a deposit but it was never reflected in the statement. It could be considered as other type of transaction so not reflected. QUOTE(wjchay @ Mar 30 2017, 09:48 PM) Hi, I believe that's due to buy-sell spread, as in your case 7Feb you buy aud, 9Feb you sell aud. Banks spread is much larger than money changer. ok, you may have a point on the buy-sell spread. And yes we have to use a credit card for online reservation and payment in this case so can't avoid. On another note, I believe car rental companies do not accept cash. So no choice, hv to use credit card. However usually we don't cancel, so no refunds. Just trying to use the best card for forex. QUOTE(ronnie @ Mar 30 2017, 10:13 PM) Some rental company uses the Pre-Authorization method which holds $XXX without actual charge. If you default, then they can charge the $XXX amount to your credit card. This what Hotels do when they ask for CC authorization. I am not sure "pre-authorization" was the term used when the car rental staff told me about the deposit charge. But I will remember this term in future deposit payment. |
