QUOTE(advocado @ Dec 22 2017, 11:42 AM) it's garbage that the tip dries out very fast and doesn't really have much ink in it. and if you use it on painted surface it clogs right away. for rm11 you are better off with the cheaper Sakura Pigma or Copic. MPH, Jusco etc starting to stock Pigmas. if you are using on bare plastic without any sort of coating then it's ok. i'm talking about those extra fine ones which only come in Black/Dark Grey or Brown. it's also not as Ultra Thin as you think. if you want higher end pen you can get the Copic SP which is customizable with exchangeable parts it's Silver normal version is black. QUOTE(ninehneh @ Dec 22 2017, 11:56 AM) noted. all valid points. agree on the clogging on painted builds. for purpose of the initial question thou, i assume he is panel lining macross ( most likely unpainted and mainly white.) but yes all very good valid points. Thanks!. Hm, more options is good. I have acquantaince in Japan right now (again), I'll see if I can ask.

QUOTE(chriswoo @ Jan 13 2018, 10:08 AM) 1st time owning Hi metal r kits seem this ver valkyrie vf-2ss is more superior than predecessor vf-1. Plus I love this series valkyrie due to unique design like vf 4 [attachmentid=9510778] [attachmentid=9510779] I thought the VF-2 wing is supposed to be folded in all the time when using that pack?

QUOTE(TheEvilMan @ Jun 6 2018, 10:36 AM) New to the macross world, been wanting to collect back then but not willing to spend on them Just a couple of question: - In DX Chogokin line, is most part make of diecast or only the innerframe structure? - The Bandai plastic model, does it work similar to the DX chogokin in term of transformation? And is it easily loose and break as the transformation is rather complex. - What are the recommended local shop to get kits from (so far i only know of XL, Toypanic and Crux) Most of the time the transformation are almost the same between the model kit line and DX line. For Delta, Siegfried transformation are all the same except for the hand part, where the transformation of the hand+handgun are parts-forming. In addition the DX line has more secure tabbing. The model kit line has some really fragile parts, I already broke the waist part on mine. For Draken, nope, more than 60% of the transformation are different.

QUOTE(TheEvilMan @ Jun 6 2018, 01:11 PM) as a starter, i wonder should i get the DX Frontier or Delta figure, I like the delta plane design but dislike the blue layout, was thinking to preorder the movie version which is grey in general http://www.amiami.com/top/detail/detail?sc...RE-039718&rank=Any experience of buying it via Amiami, will the shipment make it more expensive than buying locally? Honestly, my purchase has been through friends going Japan for business trip. Also, got tax waived as well.

QUOTE(SupermotoXL @ Jul 3 2018, 08:52 AM) Phoenix R/C add-on: MACROSS DELTA YF-31 SiegfriedHey Macross fan, i've return to show my new 3D model build for my R/C simulator add-on. Being a fan of Macross since the 80's to present day i decided to make something interesting so i could play and fly around in virtual world than having static model. Originally wanted to build VF-1S for Phoenix R/C simulator but decided to go for VF-31 Siegfried since it have more sensible aerofoil design for logical lift off the ground during the flight. Took 7 days to build the 3d meshes using Z-modeler tools, adding functional flight control, script and texturing work and finally now is beta testing inside the computer. Will be release at my website soon for those who have PHOENIX R/C simulator. Will inform the release in this week at my website https://www.supermotoxl.comRight now need to fix the landing gear door bay, slightly twitched in simulator. Awesome work.

Hey people. I was browsing Yahoo.com and come across this artice: https://sg.news.yahoo.com/bought-items-japa...-034130694.htmlHave anyone tried this service? Or maybe planning to try this service? It says shipping fee based on weight only. 1 lb RM 10. Roughly RM 22 per kilo. Take a look at the pricing page: https://www.buyandship.com.my/pricing/Honestly, I never tried buying from overseas. I don't know what the price to compare. Anyone would like to give a opinion about this service?

I got a VF-1S for only 864 yen. That's roughly RM 30. Guess what's the catch.

Wait until 2021, when the next time license expire. See if HG can still hold the IP. Performance wise, HG should not keep the license. What robotech? There's nothing new at all from HG.

QUOTE(chriswoo @ Nov 1 2018, 02:08 PM) haha My feeling Micheal bay is more suitable for this due to mostly macross is micro missile spamming and who need plot when they do all is singing like Macross Delta. What would happen to the valkyrie design then? Would it spawn a whole new category of 'Bay'kyrie?

I got a request. To anyone who has DX YF/VF-19. The one with neck cover (in fighter mode) intergrated into the shield. Can you take several photos of Gerwalk Mode, with the shield attached to the body?
I'm a bit curious how it would look like.

QUOTE(Hades76 @ Aug 12 2020, 09:12 AM) Has anyone assembled the Bandai Variable Valkyrie. I have had it for years but never assembled it. Feel intimidated by all the small parts and so on. You mean the 1:72 VF1? My experience with VF-25, VF-31 and SV-262Hs, is that they are not for playing or often transforming them. Some plastic parts, really small parts will get snapped. In fact on VF-31, there's a connection part in the waist area that is only semi circle shape with weak support. Over time, the plastics will get loose, and the everything will just limbs around. Also, since its plastic, when you want to move things around after a long time, the friction is enough to snap things around. I'm thinking of getting something like Hasegawa plastic model instead. It doesn't transform, but the jet mode will make a great display on a table.

QUOTE(Hades76 @ Aug 12 2020, 09:44 AM) Thanks for the input and heads up on the weak support links. I dont intend to play with is also. Just want to build it and transform it once to display. Must do that classic pose from the original cartoon. Remember, they are plastic model kit. They're not meant to be played like the DX versions. But I'm poor. I'll have to make do with just the 1:72 kits. Even then, they're getting more expensive over the years.

Anyone have any information to share about Macross Worldwide? There's this news at https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/bi...-301274423.html, which says Big West will be releasing anything Macross related worldwide now. Previously I saw a YT video, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eZlnlM4pVSM, wtih automatic translation that says, Macross toys can now be purchased directly instead of going through expensive third party. It's still pricey as ever, but it looks like you can place PO directly instead of relying on third party. Not that I have the money to do so, just wondering if this does makes it easier to get a Macross DX toys.
