Japanese never experiencing shortage of ideas when it comes in making anime or manga. unless when they turned it into live action it will became otherwise. The movies will look funny in terms of character appearances.

don't worry let's pray Disney take over license for macross that will give our dream a high chance of quality live action movie.

Then lets hope steven spielberg or peter jackson make the movie. Micheal bay also can but the whole scene will full of unnecessary explosion that come out of nowhere and no plot.

haha My feeling Micheal bay is more suitable for this due to mostly macross is micro missile spamming and who need plot when they do all is singing like Macross Delta.

Afraid Michael Bay filming, juz like Transformer 1st part is real good, start from 2nd ~ 3rd going down so quickly then 4th ~ 5th part become worst film ever...
Can't trust he can doing well, but ya if the Macross film by him should be real fresh to watch juz for the 1st part may be.
