I remember someone in StandChart Thread was asking about whether JOMPAY payment fro PTPTN via CIMB Cash Rebate CC is entitled for 5% cash rebate.

I just "Excel" my last month transaction and confirmed only 0.2%  Cash Rebate for JOMPAY Payment for PTPTN. Same as other JOMPAY Transaction.
*
All JomPay payments will not be entitled for 5% cash back. Other online transactions cards too, previously UOB VOX didn't give, I doubt YOLO will give too.

hi all,

anyone got such issue before? you had a CIMB card like 10 years ago...then you go do CCRIS or CTOS check and suddenly realized the card you cancelled long time ago...still got a few ringgit due....

how do you guys pay? i tried to call customer service and was requested to call another number but that number no one ever pick up today... will continue to try but just wondering how to settle such outstanding amount... totally lost the card number history etc already....
*
I believe banks will have the record. I'm surprised that you didn't receive any letter from them.

my 3 months old CIMB CR received fraud.

my first fraud case after 3 years of using CC.  sad.gif

when CIMB called me i saw the CIMB SecureCode show up in my phone as well, someone is trying to use my card and request SecureCode.
After CIMB confirmed that I did not do any online transaction they immediately block the card and will issue a replacement card.

Luckily no amount has been charged  rclxms.gif
too bad this happen just before 1111 sales, I will not able to get the card before 11 Nov  cry.gif
*
I have bought a lot of stuff recently, no more shopping on 11th. laugh.gif

QUOTE(eastwest @ Nov 7 2016, 11:25 PM)
Cimb secure code? What's 1111 sales?
*
11th Nov sales is known as the Singles Day in China and they made it that day as the Black Friday sales of China. Giler cheap stuff and sooner other countries also adopt this sales culture on that day.

I will buy from China most of the time. This time I will go for teambuilding on Thursday and Friday, I may not be able to buy my stuff. laugh.gif

I only buy from Taobao as I have a lot of China visitors who come frequently to Malaysia.
Local sites you can check out Lazada, Gemfive, 11 Street and etc.

Oooh! Thanks for clarifying! Going to buy a laptop soon and saw some 1111 thing on Lazada but had no idea what it was. Based on past experience, worth waiting until Friday?
*
Yes, just wait and see discounts. smile.gif

QUOTE(edwardccg @ Nov 7 2016, 11:49 PM)
Not only china
Malaysia also got 1111 sales now.
Lazada, shopback, gemfive. Even uniqlo web also have 1111
For china. I usually bought from taobao.
1111 online sales also go on crazy in malaysia as well
You can even see the count down in lazada
*
I mentioned what Lazada and those sites. Malaysia's 1111 is nothing to be compared with China. All my China friends already filled in their carts, one with RMB 30k+, another few with RMB 20k+ and the rest all around 8k+ to 15k+.
I am amazed. laugh.gif I am not spending anything this year. biggrin.gif
No wonder Taobao will create sales history on 11th Nov.

So every purchase have to done on that day?
I've nothing to buy,  for now...
How to get this so called securecode? Is this for online purchase? I'm not sure whether I've used it before.
*
Yes, buy on that day.

It's like TAC, will only be sent to you when you are performing online transactions.

QUOTE(MGM @ Nov 8 2016, 08:30 AM)
Heard Taobao delivery to Malaysia takes a few weeks. Your China friends delivery destination to China or Malaysia? Unless things are very much cheaper in Taobao it is not worth it if support n warranty claim are difficult.
*
OT: They are based in Beijing. If I'm not urgent, I will send to them and they will get any visitor to bring over to me later. If it's urgent which I hardly do, can get forwarding service and will receive within a week.

Have you check your CCRIS report? Usually bankers not recommend their client to hold many CC at 1 go.
*
No issue one to hold many cards at one go.
However, it's good to check CCRIS.

I think they sent you a SMS for pre-approved card, if you didn't reply, they will assume you want to accept it.

Not in my case though. Never received such sms. Suddenly appeared in cimbclicks last 2 weeks and mail dropped on last friday.

Let's say i don't activate it. And i want to apply a cc with other bank. I suppose this card won't appear in my ccris right? Afraid it will affect my application.
*
If that's the case and you want to be nasty, just complain to BNM because they cannot do this.

Just call to cancel it. Always make it as a habit to cancel unused cards.

They went missing and suddenly when i checked my home, apparently CIMB delivered a new card laugh.gif

That's efficient.

For the Enrich Plat, I mean. There was no call from CIMB to verify or anything after the initial SMS.
*
It's pre-approved card, nothing to verify already. They already evaluate that you are qualified. I mean everyone should be qualified because it is only 24k per annum. laugh.gif
