Hi. Need to change my tires. 175/65 r14.
Maybe i will stick with this size or change to 185/60 r14.

My front tires toyo neo3. Ngam2 2 years. But already botak.no thread at all.
My back tires continental cc6. 3 years plus. Still going strong. Still ada bunga / thread la. I can still use at least for 1 year.
Before this i put cc6 in front, but then my back tires botak, so i bought the neo 3 install at front, so cc6 i put at the back la.

So i guess neo3 is too soft. So fast botak. Only 2 years. No bunga/ thread at all. Well i used it for 55k km i guess.

How is hankook eco2 k435 performance during wet? Much better than cc6 or more or less the same?

Michelin xm2+ is too expensive for my axia. Just looking for an affordable tire that has a good (not superb since its cheap/ affordable) grip during wet.

Which one is better, Cc6 again, or hankook eco2 k435 or dunlop j5 ?

Not gonna buy toyo neo3 or the latest proxes cr1. I read toyo tires is too soft. Any other suggestion? Tq

You can scrub NE03 to botak within 55k km? You must some super aggressive driver on a budget. If you really want thread life, go for GY Duraplus la.

Never used CC6 b4, and using K435 now, so no direct comparison can be made. On 185/65R14 K435 at all 4 corners and previously on NE03. K435 is better than NE03 in both dry and wet, equal in thread wear/life and only losing in road noise. So for indirect comparison, you can use your CC6/NE03 experience to compare with K435.

If have budget, can check out Bridgestone's T005A, as it was listed out officially in their website to have both 175/65R14 and 185/60R14. Availability may be a big question mark coz officially listed =/= generally available. So even if it exists, dealers may mark up price due to unicorn status.

Thank you for sharing.

If PS4 out of budget, have to choose between Primacy 4 and RE004, would you recommend Primacy 4?

Sure you want PS4 on a garage queen? All those money sitting in the garage and getting flat spots. Why not consider something more economical like MC6/F1S/VP3 etc?

Go thru this thread from page 5 onwards for some perception-changing reading. Form your own opinion after reading.
Do you need that tiny extra performance sitting in the garage for years.

hankook now increased price by a lot, prime 3 (k125) is the replacement for v12 evo2, it cost around 300-330 per donut for 225/45/17, S1 evo3 (K127) is UHP around RM50 per donut more expensive than prime 3

last year i still managed to get prime 3 at rm275 per donut for 225/40/18, now is like RM350-380

unless you willing to try china, thailand or indonesia tyres, which you can still get them at cheap price, most of the mainstream brand price increased a lot lately sad.gif

you can look for Westlake SA37 or rovelo A1 sport, but i have not tried these tyres before, but westlake review seems not bad, rovelo A1 is like prime 3, as long as you not high power car should be okay to use

If he (flyingturtle77) is driving spiritedly I would not recommend Rovelo Sport A1. This Soprt A1 has really squishy/soft sidewall, despite trying to project itself as an UHP tyre. As a result one can feel the car becoming abit nervous at highway speed as it produced a lot of lateral movements when it roll over undulations on road. As compared to the P3ST that it replaced, it is only slightly noisier. Have not tested on dry/wet braking as this set of 4 Rovelo is on a family mover. Price wise, it was the among the cheapest I can find; rm250/pc for 225/55R17 with XL rating, as compared to 580/pc for P4. As this is a weekend car and doing low mileage, I thought might as well try this Rovelo out. Result for now? OK OK la.
