Donchu guys think the auto brightness quite abit dim... Is to sensitive to light...always changing brightness...

I can't sync tuga with my google account. keep asking me to update sign in details. Anyone facing the same problem?

Yea just checked in the google account settings, tuga sync is ticked and synced.... But in app tuga setting it's not synced... It's easy to know cuz all my chrome bookmarks, login passwords and browse history aren't in tuga.

might not be a problem for u becuz you have used tuga for sometime and u have all ur browse history on it already.

not a big deal anyway, just that I like all things to be synced, makes life easier lol

by far rr 6.0 custom rom far more stable compared to others, aside from weird earphone jack bug (need plug fast)
other wise it's stable and smooth.

Can give a bit review compare to MIUI 7/8 ?? Battery performance(concern especially the idle drain), daily driver?, bug if any you notice, and so on... I would like to hear from your point of view...

That is insane with overnight at 1 or 2% how did u do that? I cant even do that with my phone on day 1 of unboxing. Can you tell me your setting or something? I have no games nor any sh*t running on my phone. Clean, a browser, whatsapp, not even wechat, facebook, facebook messenger, instagram, and basically thats all for my apps. All the apps is under "Mi battery optimization" setting, and only Whatsapp is set to "no restriction". My overnight drain is about 6-8% ....

true... I think i might try 2g since about 90% of my day is on wifi. Currently on 4G. I'll try it then. As for the bloatware that comes with MIUI8 china dev, I deleted some but do not dare to use root to clear the other. I've tried once, and weird enuf that my whatsapp no longer push notification (checked all restriction/autostart/etc) push notification for whatsapp just DONT works. And it's not only happened once. I tried a few times, the moment I delete those bloatware like Mi home, Mi Pass, Browser, Mi wallet, Suguo Keyboard, bla bla bla.... then push notification decide to stop to work. Damn.... I just gonna go for the global version of MIUI 8 soon i guess.

Oh ya, no one answer me yet, MIUI 8 china dev, officially unlocked, supersu rooted,custom kernal, will i still get OTA?

Hahaha, defeat the purpose of OTA if i need to get full rom and manually flash it with the mi flash tool.

One thing disappoint me is the MIUI 8 for Redmi Note 3 Qualcomm would be only Android 5.1.1, same for Redmi Note 2 MIUI 8, will be only Android 5.0. Redmi Note MIUI 8 also stuck on Android 4.4 only.

I think this only happen on Redmi device.
The Mi3, Mi4, and Mi Note all get Android 6.0 already even in MIUI 7.

+1 , but if a user (such as my wife and most of my kawan) using fb, instagram, whatsapp n etc, battery life is "ok" for 4k battery 4-5 hours sot as those apps are power hunger apps.

imo, those user mostly doing bussiness or have need to have push/instant notification.

some kawan solving it either bring power bank (mcm biasa) or switch to smart phone that higher capacity battery (zenfone max/note 4+zerolemon n etc...

I hold back for trying out RR because of the reported audio volume is low, and there are some earphone bug or something. But in CM13, the most heard of bug is the 4G bug, which they cant get to use 4G, only 3g, which in this case doesnt  bother me much... lol. since im focaltech, im safe to try i believe.

Does tuga crash on your phone when you press recently closed and saved offline tabs on the new tab screen? I can't access those 2 tabs. The entire browser just closed down.

Haha, I'm holding back to flash cm13 from santosh as well. Probably just stick to MIUI official rom and follow the OTA, since the stable MIUI8 is coming soon. So I guess, i'll just stick around and dont mess up too much with my OS.

Rather, i mess a lot with apps, looking for best apps. there's a lot of common apps that we "must have". But problem is that Im bored with it. So i wanna get to find some hidden gem. TUGA recommened in this thread is a bless... hahaha

Getting the unlock permission is fast but at this stage always stuck at 50% like many complain in the mi forum.

Flashing China development rom don't require unlocked bootloader right?

I want to factory reset my phone. There is any apps/software  that i can backup all my setting, apps, save game, contact and everything on my phone? Without download it back again. Because i got more than 50apps on my phone. And my phone still virgin. No root etc

I just received the Unlock bootloader permission SMS.

I am now on Global Stable ROM.

Can I unlock it straight or will I hv to flash to China rom stable then China Rom dev first before unlock?

If I need to flash over to China rom first before unlock then after unlock if I revert back to Global Rom, is my bootloader still remain unlock?

My ultimate goal is to stay with Global Rom, with unlocked bootloader, rooted and TWRP on my phone while running on Global Stable rom.

With this configuration, I believe I can no longer update using OTA right? I will have to flash .zip to update right?

What is I unlock the bootloader, root the phone but using original Mi recovery, will I still be able to update via OTA?
